My husband needed to meet up with an acquaintance for some Pokémon card trading, the meet up place was at Aeon AU2 Shopping Centre. Whenever we came to this mall, we would usually dine at a restaurant called Banana Bro!
Banana Bro at AU2!
There are many branches of Banana Bro and this is the best one in vicinity, among all the Banana Bros nearby because their fried chicken 65 is the best so far.

We also really love the space here. Super clean and tidy and the waiters here are friendly and helpful too, unlike one branch whereby we had quite unpleasant experience when the waiter sounded impatient and slightly rude.
The open-concept ambience makes this outlet very well-ventilated. One could choose either sit under fan or under aircon. Half of the shop is air-conditioning, half is using fan for ventilation. Cool, isn't it? We sat right at the middle, half fan, half aircon. 😂
Banana Leaf Rice
Bananabro is famous for its banana leaf rice, called the Craving Set at RM12.90. Each craving set has unlimited refill of rice, unlimited refill of three side vegetables of the day and curry sauces, pappadam, free one-time rasam, salted chilli and added RM1 you get mustard yogurt.
Also, I guess this is the only outlet which served us the 'rasam' soup (part of the banana leaf rice).
The Family Combo 2 pax
We ordered this after calculation. The family combo 2 pax came with 2 craving sets, two milk tea, one Chicken 65 and one fried squid.
Yesterday's craving set came with three side vegetables of cucumber salad, stir fry cabbage with mustard seed, and fried bittergourd. The curry sauces were crab curry, fish curry, chicken curry and lentil curry. All were super duper delicious!!!

No wonder people always crave for banana leaf rice! Many ate using fingers but I prefer use fork and spoon.
My husband added a fried fish tenggiri and another chicken 65 to be with the youngest son. He wanted to avoid carb yesterday.. So only my eldest son and I got to enjoy the craving set. Ooh-la-la!
The rasam was mind-blowing, love the sourness and the herbs incorporated in it.
Chicken, Fish and squid
The chicken 65 was so well cooked, marinated with their secret herbs, properly fried, crispy outside, soft juicy meat inside. Super finger licking good!
Fried squid was perfect too! Soft and easy to bite.
Fish was well fried too! Just abit dry. Yum yums!
Too bad chicken butter was sold out, otherwise we would order this rather than the fried fish.
Teh tarik lawa!
We love their milk tea here because it was not too sweet like at other branches. My husband and I are always 'teh tarik' fans!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner yesterday, although the youngest son could not eat a lot yet, but he had started eating some rice and chicken and fish. Yay! If you are a fan of rice and curry, you must indulge yourself a craving set at BananaBro!
On another trip we were here months ago, they did have chicken butter and the salted chilli, so here I attached I photo for you to view the butter chicken and the salted chilli.
Once done eating, you usually fold the banana leaf towards you.
