I was clueless what to cook again. Whenever I was in this state, I would choose to cook using Japanese curry cube — make cooking easier by a lot!
Japanese Curry Sliced Pork!
This was the Japanese curry cubes brand that I used.
Steps!
I used pork loin this time, firstly sliced the pork into thin slices. And marinated with soy sauce, pepper and some corn flour.
Prepared the vegetables like big onions, garlic, potatoes, carrots, and sweet potatoes.
In a hot pot, heated up some pork oil, followed by sauteeing the big onions and garlic till aromatic.
After this, the marinated sliced pork was added in and continued to stir fry and mixed well, cooked for about 4 minutes.
Next would be adding in water for the gravy purpose, then added in the Japanese curry cube. I only used one pack. There were two in box.
Slowly, stirred it around to let it dissolve.
In about 2 minutes, you would have this solid-colored Japanese curry gravy. Super fragrant. No corn starch slurry was needed to thicken the gravy because I believed it had been added into the premixed cubes.
Earlier on, I had steamed the vegetables.
Now was the time to add in those vegetables. Mixed till all incorporated with the gravy.
Just look at how delicious this dish was. At this point, the boys would remark that it smelled so good!
The pork slices and vegetables together with the gravy was scooped out into a serving dish. I did not add in anymore salt because it was tasty enough. We loved to eat this with a plate of warm rice.
