Hey there, fellow foodies! I've recently dined in Dessert Factory in Parkmall, Mandaue City. The theme of this restaurant reminds me so much of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory movie, especially because of the lavender strips interior. My inner child feels so delighted! As a fan of the movie, I expected the restaurant to serve more on desserts.
It was dinner time and most restaurants are already crowded so we decided to order our meals here. We wanted to have our seats upstairs to be more intimate, however, the staff informed us that the aircon is out of order so we settled for a seat downstairs.
While looking at their menu, i've noted nothing much appetizing but to avoid the hustle of finding another place to eat, we decided to settle here instead. Our order consist of carbonara pasta, pork kawali, and beef tortillas. Their serving is good for one and a half persons so we ordered one meal per person.
The food, overall, was okay. I especially like the tortillas because of their dipping sauce/ salsa. I remember dining in this place back when i was still a student, but in a different restaurant branch. This time, the entire vibe is quite different, more on the dull spectrum. The temperature is warm too. The price, however, is affordable.
After eating dinner, we plan to order desserts. Unfortunately, most of their desserts were unavailable. My expectations, as a Charlie And The Chocolate Factory fan was not met. But it's okay since there are other restaurant nearby that sells ice cream and halo halo. We were also very full that we didn't crave dessert that much anymore.
We spend the entire night talking and laughing, until the restaurant is about to close. Nevertheless, I'm just glad to reminisce my favorite childhood movie with the person i like most.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
