Hey, my fellow foodies of hive! My former colleagues invited me for dinner at Sambal restaurant, to have a quick catch up. After resigning from the audit firm, she went back to her hometown and work as an accountant in the LGU. Despite our hectic schedules, as it was a work day and my workplace was quite far from the restaurant, we managed to squeezed in a quick catch up with her, albeit coming late.
This Indonesian restaurant is located at Ayala Center Cebu. By the time I arrived, my friends already ordered lunch so i wasn't able to see their full menu. We ordered the common dishes to avoid regretting our choices later if we ordered the unique ones.
I uploaded our ordered dishes based on my most favorite to my least favorite. I liked their crispy pork belly the most because its so tender and thinly sliced. It went perfectly with their sauce. Their honey garlic chicken ranked second as i liked the combination of honey and chicken. Its also unique to see sweet potato included in the dish. My least favorite is their stir fried egg noodles as i find it too greasy. We even didn't finish the dish so we packed it for take out.
Our semi-reunion brought back so many nostalgic memories. Most of these people were my classmates in college and I'm glad to know that their all fine, still continuing to fight in pursuing whatever their dreams are. I also tried to pirate some of them to join my current employer (haha) as i believe they have a lot of potential to grow in our company but most of them have plans to go abroad.
An our of catching up feels like a minute when you had fun. Unfortunately, lunch time is over and we have to go back to our respective offices. We then said our goodbyes and parted ways.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
Love, Jane
