Japanese are considered one of the busiest people in the world. Shibuya Crossing is evident to this claim- that they are innately workaholics. Marugame Udon offers authentic Japanese foods that are serve as soon as you order them. The swift turnover is what makes this restaurant unique.
Meals, such as ramen, gyoza, ebi tempura, udon, and among others, are already pre cooked and displayed in the counter. Once the customer decides his/her order, they will heat the meals in less than 10 minutes, just in time for you to reach the cashier.
I don't know how the Japanese make their ramen but in this restaurant, they used what looks like a fish net to strain the noodles. What even surprised me is that they use bare hands to capture the noodles before boiling them.
As i've looked at people in the line, I noticed most of their orders either has ramen or rice bowls, plus some ala cart meals like Karaagi, gyoza, and omusubi. Since i was so hungry, I decided to order both ramen and a rice bowl, with some ala cart meals. I can always have an option to take out my left overs, anyway.
I've always watch vlogs in Youtube about a day in my life, mostly from Japanese vloggers, most of them have a corporate 9-5 job. After a long tiring day, they reward themselves with some nice dinner, or a hot cup of tea while watching their favorite show. Eating dinner in this restaurant feels exactly like that in their cozy vlogs. Adding to the vibe is their soft Japanese background music.
This restaurant delivers both convenience and efficiency, ideal for quick meals with colleagues or simply for satisfying your Japanese cravings alone. The food is highly recommendable (rate: 9/10).
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
