A loving greeting to all my friends of Hive. It is a pleasure to be once again in this beautiful community with lovers of good food. Today I want to share with you a wonderful experience full of laughter, good food and friendship. The wonderful thing about food is that it has the magic of bringing people together. A few days ago we got together a group of friends to celebrate the birthday of our dear Corito, and what better way to do it than with some delicious and monstrous hamburgers.
From very early in the morning we were getting ready for this great sharing. But the truth is that we had been doing all the organization for days. All of us contributed to make this meeting possible. Unfortunately, all our friends could not come because of the heavy rains and the temperature changes, they fell into bed with a bad cold. Only Corito, Keka, @aly.squid and myself were present. Even so we made ten huge hamburgers and took them to our companions to enjoy this delicious bomb of flavors, even though we couldn't share them at our house, where the meeting was.
The preparation of these burgers was quite an adventure. From choosing the freshest and tastiest ingredients, to creating combinations. Each one of us contributed our special touch to make these burgers something really incredible. The difference between Venezuelan hamburgers and the classic hamburger from the United States is that in my country, the bigger the burger and the more ingredients it has, the better. So we put everything we can think of and of course that combines.
The hamburgers we prepared for our friend Corito's birthday had the following ingredients:
- 4 breaded chicken thighs and two whole breaded chicken breasts
- 9 slices of smoked ham
- 500 gr fried cheese
- 10 slices of bacon
- 10 fried eggs
- 30 slices of Pickles
- 500 gr Potato chips
- 5 Tomatoes
- 5 Onions
- 1 lettuce
- Mayonnaise
- Ketchup
- Mustard
But beyond the food, what really made this day special was the sharing among friends. We sat around the table, shared anecdotes, laughter and deep conversations. We reminisced about old times, celebrated the present and dreamed of the future. It was a time of genuine connection and appreciation for the friendship that unites us.
As is customary almost everywhere in the world, on birthdays a song is sung around a sweet cake with lighted candles. In our case there was no cake, but a glowing candle on Corito's hamburger. It was great fun and we sang loudly until she blew out her candle and made the traditional wish. In between bites, we realized how lucky we were to have each other. Even though our other friends couldn't be there, we communicated all the sharing by whatsapp, and somehow they were present.
As I said at the beginning, I think the real magic of food is that it brings people together. And my dear @aly.squid and I always express our love through cooking. Complicity, affection and trust are a priceless treasure that we treasure in our hearts. And there is no better way to share all these feelings than around a table enjoying delicious flavors. Deliciosas hamburguesas y un feliz cumpleaños para mi amiga Coro (Ingles/Español)
Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive. Es un placer para estar una vez más en esta hermosa comunidad con los amantes de la buena comida. El día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una experiencia maravillosa llena de risas, buena comida y amistad. Pues lo maravilloso de la comida es que tiene esa magia de unir a las personas. Hace unos días nos reunimos un grupo de amigas para celebrar el cumpleaños de nuestra querida Corito, y qué mejor manera de hacerlo que con unas deliciosas y monstruosas hamburguesas.
Desde muy temprano estuvimos preparándonos para este grandioso compartir. Pero la verdad es que toda la organización la habíamos hecho desde hacía días. Entre todas aportamos algo para que este encuentro fuera posible. Lamentándolo mucho todas las amigas no pudieron venir porque por las fuertes lluvias y los cambios de temperatura, cayeron en cama con un fuerte resfriado. Solo estuvimos presentes Corito, Keka, @aly.squid y yo. Aun así hicimos diez enormes hamburguesas y las llevamos a donde nuestras compañeras para que disfrutara de esta deliciosa bomba de sabores, aunque no pudiéramos compartir en nuestra casa, donde fue el encuentro.
La preparación de estas hamburguesas fue toda una aventura. Desde la elección de los ingredientes más frescos y sabrosos, hasta la creación de combinaciones. Cada una de nosotras aportó su toque especial para hacer de estas hamburguesas algo realmente increíble. La diferencia de las hamburguesas venezolanas con la clásica hamburguesa de estados unidos, es que en mi país, mientras más gigante y más ingredientes tengan es mucho mejor. Así que le metemos todo lo que se nos ocurra y por supuesto que combine.
Las hamburguesas que preparamos para el cumpleaños de nuestra amiga Corito tenían los siguientes ingredientes:
- 4 muslos de Pollo y dos pechugas completas empanizado
- 9 rebanadas de Jamón ahumado
- 500 gr Queso frito
- 10 lonjas de Tocineta
- 10 Huevo frito
- 30 rodajas de Pepinillos
- 500 gr Papas fritas
- 5 Tomates
- 5 Cebollas
- 1 Lechuga
- Mayonesa
- Kétchup
- Mostaza
Pero más allá de la comida, lo que realmente hizo especial este día fue el compartir entre amigas. Nos sentamos alrededor de la mesa, compartimos anécdotas, risas y conversaciones profundas. Recordamos viejos tiempos, celebramos el presente y soñamos con el futuro. Fue un momento de conexión genuina y de aprecio por la amistad que nos une.
Como se acostumbra en casi todo el mundo, en los cumpleaños se canta una canción alrededor de un dulce pastel con velas encendidas. En nuestro caso no hubo pastel, pero si una vela resplandeciente sobre la hamburguesa de Corito. Fu muy divertido y cantamos fuertemente hasta que ella apago su vela y pidió el tradicional deseo. Entre mordisco y mordisco, nos dimos cuenta de lo afortunadas que somos de tenernos las unas a las otras. A pesar de que nuestras otras amigas no pudieron estar, nos comunicamos todo el compartir por whatsapp, y de alguna manera estuvieron presentes.
Como dije al inicio, creo que la verdadera magia de la comida es que reúne a las personas. Y mi querida @aly.squid y yo siempre expresamos nuestro amor a través de la cocina. La complicidad, el cariño y la confianza son un tesoro invaluable que atesoramos en nuestros corazones. Y no hay mejor manera de compartir todo estos sentimientos que alrededor de una mesa disfrutando de deliciosos sabores.
