Vintage Vibes at West Coast Langgano

The vintage charm

Despite its location that is so hidden from the street, west coast langgano is pretty packed with caffeine addicts. The place is the 2nd branch of Warkop Langgano that is located outside of the city. They both have different aesthetics and this one, has a homey & vintage look to it. I can see why people would be so compelled to check out the place because it is also working spot friendly as well as a great spot to hangout with friends. The place has indoor and outdoor seating that can be chosen by visitors. This branch is also catering to people who live in the city and offering a convenience to get high quality caffeine rather than having to travel 6km to the first branch.

When I was there, I stayed near the counter and there was this particular seating spot that really intrigued me. Unfortunately, I didn’t bring my camera and was only visiting with my phone. I wished I was bringing my camera because each of its spots is quite aesthetic.

What I also love about the space is how the wallpaper was made in muted colors which actually adds characteristic to the space. Instead of focusing on way too many colors, they stick to a few muted colors such as black and white and muted white and green. Another thing to highlight about the space is also how westcoast langgano uses tables that are just “right”. It’s not too small for a coffee table but also not too big that it took up so much space. The table they have can fit one laptop and also a coffee on either side.

So, if you’re working alone, it is just the perfect table to set up. If the space is going to be occupied by more than 2 people, it would still fit for the food and the beverages. That's why I really enjoy being in this branch more than the first one that they have at Warkop Langgano. Unfortunately, if you are someone who is looking to shade from the scorching hot weather, westcoast langgano might not be for you. They only had a wall fan that wasn’t enough to cool us down. At least, when I was there, the weather was extremely hot and with the fan, it wasn’t enough.

Red label v60, to perfection

As much as I love how the space was made, the drink was to perfection. I have to say that this is one of the best caffeine dealers in town. If you’re looking for proper coffee and well-crafted beverages, this is the spot. I ordered one of their red label v60 and it was to perfection. The barista brewed it nicely, nicer than the place I’ve been to in town. With the price that is still under $2, no wonder this spot was so jam packed despite its location that was quite unconvincing. It’s like everyone can drink coffee because other coffee shops in town offer their coffee around $2.5 to even a whopping $3.

A balanced cappuccino

I also sampled their cappuccino and it was heavenly. It was the perfect balance between milk and coffee. While the latte art was very basic, it was the taste that won me over. I reckon it was a blend, I didn’t ask but I could taste the difference if it was arabica or made with a blend of robusta. The after taste and after effect was quite stronger than if it were just an arabica bean. But certainly, they live up to its mission, to be the high quality caffeine dealer.
