December 28, 2022: It was my Dad's 55th Birthday, so my mom made plans to have a family dinner somewhere near the City. Of course, we chose dad's favorite food place which is called the "Giligan's" in Starmall. Unfortunately, the restaurant closed early when we arrived (7pm) since it was a weekday. What a bummer right? But then, I saw this coffee shop right beside Giligan's and said to myself "Why make this a coffee date instead?" I think it will be wholesome to have coffee with your parents and just talk, right?
We were in awe when we entered the place, we didn't realize how beautiful the ambiance was. The combination of the lighting and the interior design made the place so cozy and warm.
The place looks like a set from an American Sitcom. If you watch "Friends" you definitely know what I'm talking about because the Coffee shop resonates with Central Perk where the main characters of the show hang out.
I went straight to the counter to order some coffee, but the barista noticed that I was carrying a birthday cake and asked me if we were celebrating a birthday. So I said yes, she then quickly interrupted me and showed me a menu. It was not the menu that I was expecting because there were no coffee drinks on the selection, it was a variety of meals that I saw. The barista explained to me that they only show this menu to random people at a random time. She thought we deserve a proper meal to celebrate my Dad's birthday. That was so sweet for her and honestly, that encounter felt like a movie. It felt like she was fairy god mother or something >.<

The Experience
Going in a Coffee shop but not having coffee was a bizarre experience, but it was one of the best dinners we had. Thanks to that "secret menu". My father was so happy because we celebrated his birthday in such a spontaneous way. The food was great, I give it a 10 out of 10. It was definitely an experience to remember.
Might come back to this place and order and actual coffee HAHAHA
