Preparing meal preps for the week! [EN/PT]

For those who don't have much time during the week, cooking is not an easy task. With the hectic daily routine, it becomes very tiring to have to prepare our meals after a day of work, plus household chores, especially if you spend the whole day away from home.

Well, to solve this problem, I decided to cook for the entire week in just one day. I set aside some time on my weekend to go to the market and buy the ingredients, and then, hands-on! Does it take a bit of effort to cook a larger quantity? Yes! But it's definitely worth it to have the meals ready because all you need to do is take them out of the freezer and microwave them for a few minutes. This way, I save more time and feel less tired after a work routine.

For this week, I prepared a simple meal, but it turned out to be very tasty:

  • First, I cooked yam, pumpkin, butternut squash, and carrots. I added just a little salt and let them cook for quite some time because the purpose of this cooking was to turn this mix of vegetables into a kind of puree. Then, I would add bacon.

  • In another pot, the potatoes were cooked. After giving them an initial cooking, they would go into the air fryer to fry.

Para aqueles que não têm muito tempo durante a semana, cozinhar não é uma tarefa tão fácil. Com a rotina agitada do dia a dia, acaba sendo muito cansativo ter que preparar as nossas refeições depois de um dia de trabalho, mais as tarefas domésticas, principalmente se você passa o dia todo fora de casa.

Bem, para resolver esse problema, eu decidi cozinhar para a semana toda em apenas um dia. Eu separo um tempo do meu fim de semana para ir ao mercado comprar os ingredientes e logo depois, mãos na massa! Dá um pouco de trabalho ter que cozinhar uma quantidade maior? Sim! Mas vale muito a pena deixar as refeições prontas, pois é só pegá-las do congelador e colocar no micro-ondas por alguns minutos. Dessa forma, ganho mais tempo e fico menos cansado depois de uma rotina de trabalho.

Para essa semana, eu preparei uma refeição simples, mas que ficou muito gostosa:

Primeiro, eu cozinhei batata baroa, abóbora, moranga e cenoura. Acrescentei apenas um pouco de sal e deixei cozinhando por bastante tempo, pois a intenção desse cozimento era transformar esse mix de legumes em uma espécie de purê. Depois, eu iria acrescentar bacon.

Na segunda panela, as batatas foram cozidas. Depois de dar um cozimento inicial, elas iriam para a air fryer para fritar.

This barbecue sausage tastes great when fried in the air fryer, and I don't even need to mention how convenient it is to do it there instead of frying it, and it's also healthier.

After the vegetables finished cooking, the bacon was added. And our first dish is ready!

After giving the potatoes a quick boil, it was time to put them in the air fryer. I added fried garlic, olive oil, and lemon pepper. There, these potatoes would stay for another 20 minutes to brown.

  • The rice, I forgot to take photos of the process, as it was the first thing I did. I only added processed broccoli to give it more flavor.

Well, after everything is ready, it's time to assemble the meal prep containers for the week!

After assembling the meal prep containers, just cover them well and place them in the freezer. These containers last for a long time, and there have been cases where I consumed a container 3 weeks after it was prepared, without it spoiling.

It's very convenient, just come home, put it in the microwave for about 6 minutes, and enjoy it.

Depois de montar as marmitas, é só tampar bem e colocar no congelador. Essas marmitas duram por muito tempo, e já teve caso de eu consumir uma marmita 3 semanas depois de ter sido preparada, sem estragar.

Muito prático, é só chegar em casa, colocar no micro-ondas por cerca de 6 minutos e consumir.
