Hi foodies 🤗
Glad to be back here, today I made vegetable sauce that I've been craving for a very long time. Since I left my parent's house last year, I haven't had vegetable sauce as my brother's wife here doesn't like it but today, I could not hold the cravings anymore, as I went to the market to buy ingredients for a typical "Yoruba Egusi soup" (that I prepared for her) I decided to give in to my craving 😌.
Here's my ingredients and how I prepared it.
Ingredients
- Vegetable (also called ugwu leaf 🌿)
- onion
- salt 🧂
- seasoning cubes
- meat (or fish)
- dry fish
- crayfish
- prawns 🦐
- meat stock
- palm oil
- Egg 🥚
- Crab 🦀 ( but I couldn't find it in the market ☹️)
Preparation
First, I washed all my ingredients (except the salt and seasoning cubes of course 😅) then cut the onion and vegetables, blended my crayfish and steamed the meat.
Here's my steamed meat, crayfish, dry fish, prawns and onions.
Vegetable
Here, I put the dry fish, prawns, onions, boiled egg and meat in the meat stock and let it boil for a bit, then I added salt and seasoning cubes for taste.
After letting it boil for a while, I added the vegetable and palm oil ( by this time, I was done boiling my rice and was frying one sexy finger of plantain)
The finished product 😌
By the way, This is the Egusi soup I talked about earlier 🌞
Thank you for reading my blog ❤️✌🏽
