I believe that moms like me are creative and talented
when it comes to creating budget-friendly dishes.
We all know that canned goods are the go-to food when we are looking for something quick and easy to prepare. Canned goods like corned beef can be boring when we eat them frequently. That is why we need to be creative so that our loved ones won't get tired of eating them.
Today, I'm gonna share with you an affordable dish using a few simple ingredients that you can find in your pantry and fridge. This dish is called Spicy Ginisang Corned Beef or Spicy Sauteed Corned Beef.
Three years ago, I discovered that adding vegetables like potatoes and cabbage to corned beef is a good twist. The cabbage adds crunch and red chili adds a little bit of spice which I like because I love eating spicy foods.
Here are the Ingredients
1 tbsp cooking oil
1 small red onion
3 cloves garlic
1 medium-size potato
1 can of corned beef (260 grams)
1 small cabbage
1 piece of red chili
salt and pepper
*Procedures:
- Prepare all the ingredients.
- Preheat the pan, then add cooking oil.
- Add sliced potatoes and fry until half cooked.
- Add red onion and garlic and cook until translucent.
- Add the corned beef then mix and cook for 3 minutes
- Add red chili
- Add the cabbage and cook for 2 minutes
- Season with salt and pepper and cook for another 2 minutes
- Serve with hot rice or with boiled eggs and enjoy!*
