We had a favorite restaurant in Pinamalayan before. Whenever we go to that town, we always have our lunch in this particular restaurant. What I actually like about that restaurant is that their dishes are really affordable, the taste is okay too, and the servings are just right. But during our last visit in there, I regret eating and trying their "embutido" because I feel like it is more like a hatdog rather than embutido, especially when it comes to the texture. Aside from that, it is too sweet.
So during our visit the other day, we decided to eat at a different restaurant. There are a lot of them in Pinamalayan, but we only tried three of them. So that day, we decided to try this one small eatery we saw on our way, and the reason we wanted to try it was because every time we pass by that eatery, there's always a bunch of people buying into their eatery. So we thought their dishes must be good for the people to flock in there. It is located in the capital, near the market.
And actually, before we go to that said eatery, we also check the other eatery nearby, especially the one where we often had our lunch. You know, just as part of our walking around, lol. This is in front of the restaurant. We checked their menu, but I don't really like the dishes on their menu. There's already a lot of people eating inside, this restaurant is always full.
We continue walking just until we reach that small eatery. We make a lot of turns, and I am actually just following Mama because she knows the way here. As for me, no matter how many times I visit this place, I can never memorize the way. I will still get lost, thats for sure. By the way, did you see a "Gojo" in there? Lolol
Whilw walking, we also decided to buy our favorite bread, which is Binangkal and Tuna Bread. I also get their big muffin because, why not? Lol.
There's a lot of bakery in here too, so choosing what to buy is kinda hard. Although I have money, and the bread looks delicious, I can't be too sure that it is really good, so it's hard to get a new kind of bread. In the end, I only get three different kinds of bread, which we usually buy in this town. And it's from just one bakery, and we're sure that their bread is really good.
Anyways, after that, we then decided to go to the eatery and stop ourselves from making a lot of stops from different shops, lol.
We're already nearing the eatery. As you can see, there's still people buying outside. And actually, people buy here in big servings, especially for a takeout. Maybe it's lunch for someone in some company in Pinamalayan.
And here's what's on the menu. There's a section for vegetable dishes and main dishes, which consist of meat and fish. I actually want to get their ground pork dish, but then I saw the meatballs, so I told Mama we should get it and one vegetable dish, and she agreed on my suggestion. It is 3 meatballs for 50 pesos, while 30 pesos for the vegetable dish, which is chop suey. As for rice, it is 10 pesos per order.
And here's our order, the chop suey looks good, as do the meatballs. I tried the meatballs first, and I was really expecting more from them, but when I finally tasted them, I was so disappointed because they tasted bland. Its like they forgot to season well the meatballs before frying it (。ŏ﹏ŏ). I told Mama about it, and so she also tried it, and she doesn't like it either. Its good appearance is opposite to what it tastes like, I will never eat that again! The chop suey tastes okay, but I like more their free soup. I should've just gotten their free soup and not the meatballs, lol - it taste so much better than the main dish. Aguyy
Because of that, I gave half of my rice to my mama because I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it. I regretted that I didn't get the ground pork dish, I should've gotten that. I'm not sure if I will try that eatery again. But if ever I know what not to get, to make sure that I can enjoy my lunch more.
