It was time to harvest the garden and we ended up with a lot of hot peppers. That's why I decided to make one of my family's favorite sweets again - hot pepper jam.
Last year I made from it and it was very successful, but this year I decided to make it according to a different recipe and it turned out even better.
Original recipe here.
I used:
- 250 grams of hot peppers
- 800 grams of sweet red pepper
- 500 grams of sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3-4 cloves of garlic
- 100 ml of vinegar
- 2 tablespoons red pepper
I cleaned the chilies from the seeds and stems.
I cleaned the red pepper and cut it into pieces.
In a large pan, I mixed the peppers and pureed them with a blender.
I added the sugar and put the pan on the stove.
I boiled until the jam thickened, stirring from time to time with a spoon.
When I judged that the jam was ready, I added the salt, the mashed garlic cloves and the red pepper.
After a few minutes, I added the vinegar and turned off the heat.
I filled the jars while the jam was still warm. After the jars cooled, I sterilized them.
The hot pepper jam is really delicious.
