Greetings friends of Hiveblog. I hope you are feeling wonderful on this beautiful day.
Today, I want to share with all of you a recipe that I saw recently on youtube and I dared to make it. It is very easy, with few ingredients, and very delicious.
It is a tortilla made with green banana or cambur, as it is commonly known in my country.
I will show you how to make it step by step.
INGREDIENTS:
- 12 green bananas or camburias (Serves 3)
- 1/2 cup corn flour
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon soybean oil
PREPARATION:
In a large enough pot, add the twelve green babanos to parboil. Let them boil for about 1 hour. After verifying that they are soft, drain and place in a bowl where they will be crushed until a soft and compact dough is created. (See image, step 1)
Add salt to taste and the tablespoon of soybean oil. (see image, step 2)
After having our dough ready, we will proceed to create a ball with our hands. We will place a small open plastic bag on the table where we will spread a little oil on it so that the dough does not stick, and on it we will place another bag on top. With a rolling pin, roll the dough several times until it is well stretched. Then, place a round plastic container on top, pressing very well so that our tortilla is round. Remove the plastic wrap and set aside the leftovers of the dough. (See image, step 3-4)
*Place a budare or smooth griddle over medium heat. Wait for it to heat up and place the tortilla. The approximate cooking time is one minute per side so be careful not to burn it. Place on a plate and continue until all the dough is done (See image, step 5- 6).
And ready friends. When you finish these delicious tortillas, serve and add plenty of shredded cheese. Enjoy!
*I hope you liked this recipe. It is very easy to make so I hope you put it into practice. Thank you very much for your attention.
