DAY OF REST VIBE

in #hive-1205862 years ago

Since today is my day off, I really wanted to do nothing but sleep. It's a cloudy day with some light rain. I made the choice to get ready for our meal early. Since Filipinos typically cook this type of meal, it is undoubtedly a pretty common dish that you have seen.

Fish Tinola and Fried Fish are on the menu today; I don't spend much time in the kitchen anymore because I already have things to accomplish. Since I don't have anything else to do today, I opted to cook for them.

Fish Tinola is perfect for a cold weather, I only used the available ingredients that I found in the kitchen.

First thing is washed the fish and ingredients and slice it to your desire. You will boil water and add the Ingredients seasoned it with salt and pepper and add the fish after it boils and simmer it for 3 mins and taste. Bwallaa it's easy as 1 2 3.

ABO FISH

Not some people known this kind of fish, it's rarely seen on the market since it's not that eveyday the fishermen could get this but there are months that they are in season. It's not eyecatching because the color is like an ash, that's why it's called Abo in our dialect. It also has another color like an Ash pink. This fish meat is very tender and this is also good for sweet and sour.

The second dish is fried fish; the fish is Tamarong, which is also known as Matangbaka or Big Eye Scad in English. In preparation I just seasoned it with salt and pepper and fried it. Easy beezzy.. 👍👍

Although the flesh is still delicate on the inside, I enjoy frying it to a crispy brown and dipping it in soy sauce and vinegar. Oh, that's good. Due to its season, you can find it in abundance in the market.

I would like to share with you that our family business is selling fish and we get our supplies from another town which is an hour drive. This kind of business help my mom raised 5 children. She's been in this business for more than 40 years since my father passes away, this help us survive for our daily meals.

I've known the names of different kinds of fish not to bragged about it. I know the kind of fish is best for cooking. I will make a separate blog soon so that I could show you the kinds of fish we sell.

Just a very quick blog for the day, enjoy and have a great weekend everyone. Thank you for having the time to read. Till my next blog.🙂
