Yesterday I stumbled across a post by @stayoutoftherz "Tips on how to make your photos even better!" (sadly only in German, but google translate might be your friend 😉)
and since I wanted to try some of these tips to participate in the [photography contest] of @derangedvisions I started hunting for some landscapes on my hard drives.

Since I have shot almost no landscapes in the last few years, I had to come up with something, and luckily I found some old photos from a vacation back in 2012 that had survived on a memory card. The camera used for these shots was a Sony DSC-H7, which almost drove me crazy at the time, as every fourth or fifth image was saved with errors. Therefore, every image had to be taken multiple times, and the photo that turned out best was finally the broken one.

At least I found some decent pictures which I could use and tweaked them in Photoshop. That's the point where things get complicated:
until yesterday I had no real clue about photography and also about cleanup and corrections. This would mean tier: Amateur.
After @stayoutoftherz post, I spent several hours tweaking and optimizing those images which (I believe) means tier: Professional.

I personally would say it's somewhere in between: too advanced for amateur and lightyears behind real professionals. But I think it's only fair for the others participating in the amateur tier if I go for professional. This way I compete with the pros and don't upset the amateurs with unfair tricks. So to make it final:

Tier: Professional

I hope you like these pictures. Thanks for your time!

Stunning and in such good condition given their historical significance.

Yes, they turned out pretty awesome 😀

Yes, it was a great trip. Since it's a tourist stronghold I had some hard times getting some photos without hundreds of people walking around, but sometimes it turned out very well 😁
