Hola gente! hoy les quiero hablar sobre el estilo de baile TRIBAL FUSIÓN, y mi experiencia en Sombras Tribal (una escuela de dark tribal fusión).
¿Qué es el tribal fusión?
Es un estilo moderno de danza, originario de Estados Unidos y que se deriva principalmente de la Danza del vientre. Fue creado por Jill Parker (miembro original de FatChanceBellydance).
Jill desarrolló una variante de la danza del vientre alejándose de lo que era el FatChance o el bellydance clásico, ya que empezó a incorporar elementos inusuales. Modificó el vestuario haciéndolo menos recargado. La música empezó a tener un rango más amplio: desde tradicional hasta música más moderna. El nuevo estilo propuesto por Jill Parker, produjo un gran impacto en los bailarines.
La primera solista de Tribal Fusión y que popularizó este estilo alrededor del mundo fue Rachel Brice, por su técnica, disociaciones, control muscular y complejidad en los movimientos. El encanto y talento de Rachel Brice, junto al lanzamiento de la mega producción "BellyDance- SuperStars" fueron un combo explosivo para que esta nueva variante de la danza del vientre se difundieran por el mundo.
En el 2013 yo solo bailaba belly dance. Poco tiempo después en youtube me encontré con un video de BellyDance SuperStars mostrando el estilo Tribal Fusión y quedé ENAMORADA.
Cuando me mudé a Caracas no perdí tiempo. Busqué las academias de baile que daban esta disciplina (muy pocas).
En un Festival de Danza, conocí Sombras Tribal y quedé encantada con el estilo (dark tribal fusión). Recuerdo que estaba en el teatro y finalizado el show fui a tomarme una foto con la directora de la escuela: Akzara Martini.
Me prometí estudiar en esa escuela. Y así fue 😊
Sombras Tribal es una escuela de Dark Tribal Fusión fundada por Akzara Martini en Caracas-Venezuela. La sede se encontraba en Macaracuay (lamentablemente hoy en día ya no hay sede en Venezuela, únicamente en España).
El estilo de Sombras se caracteriza por fusionar belly dance, danzas urbanas fatchancebellydance entre otros. La música es 90% rock. Sí! El rock se baila!.. La vestimenta suele ser de color negro, corpiños con tachas, cadenas, cinturones, mangas, sobre faldas, y por supuesto LAS BOTAS negras.
Estudié casi 5 años en esta escuela. Era mi segunda casa. Aprendí mucho, bailé en diversos eventos como: Caracas Expo Tattoo, Unión rock show, Aniversario de Cresta Metallica, convenciones, muestras anuales etc.

Hello people! today I want to talk to you about the TRIBAL FUSION dance style, and my experience in Sombras Tribal (a dark tribal fusion school).
What is tribal fusion?
It is a modern style of dance, originating in the United States and mainly derived from Belly Dance. It was created by Jill Parker (original member of FatChanceBellydance).
Jill developed a variant of bellydance moving away from what was FatChance or classical bellydance, as she began to incorporate unusual elements. She modified the costumes making them less ornate. The music began to have a wider range: from traditional to more modern music. The new style proposed by Jill Parker had a great impact on the dancers.
The first soloist of Tribal Fusion who popularized this style around the world was Rachel Brice, for her technique, dissociations, muscle control, and complexity of movements. The charm and talent of Rachel Brice, along with the launch of the mega-production "BellyDance - SuperStars" were an explosive combo for this new variant of belly dance to spread around the world.
In 2013 I was just belly dancing. Shortly after on youtube, I came across a BellyDance SuperStarts video showing the Tribal fusion style and I fell in LOVE.
When I moved to Caracas I wasted no time. I looked for dance academies that offered this discipline (very few).
At a Dance Festival, I met "Sombras Tribal" and I was enchanted with the style (dark tribal fusion). I remember I was in the theater and after the show I went to take a picture with the director of the school: Akzara Martini.
I promised myself to study in that school. And so it was 😊
Sombras Tribal is a Tribal Dark Fusion school founded by Akzara Martini in Caracas-Venezuela. The school was located in Macaracuay (unfortunately nowadays there is no more headquarters in Venezuela, only in Spain).
The style of Sombras is characterized by fusing belly dance, urban, fatchancebellydance among others. The music is 90% rock. Yes, rock can be danced to! The clothes are usually black, studded bras, chains, belts, sleeves, over skirts, and of course black BOOTS.
I studied for almost 5 years in this school. It was my second home. I learned a lot, I danced in different events such as the Caracas Expo Tattoo, Union rock show, Cresta Metallica Anniversary, conventions, annual shows, etc.
