Men & Women in Black (review).

Lovely greetings to you all!

So I found time to watch just one movie today and as I browsed through my movie library on my movie box app, I stumbled upon this movie. I had actually downloaded it but never got time to watch it.

I had also read a review by @jhymi some weeks ago and I was kinda curious as to why she didn't really enjoy the film, especially if it had such great actors. Yep, I'm talking about Chris Hemsworth who played Agent H and Tessa Thompson who played Agent M.

Their roles were beautifully carried out but I can't say the same for most of the other actors. So let's get down to business. ”Did I or did I not like the movie?” Here's my review o Men in Black International.

Synopsis

The movie begins with Molly's parents encountering an alien but their brains were zapped with a neutralizer by two MIB. Howbeit, the alien, a Tarantian was not lost on Molly. She helped it escape but not before they connected.

Life progressed and we see Molly all grown up. She tried her best to get into the MIB because of her encounter as a child but it was turning fruitless. Apparently, everyone else thought she was crazy to speak of aliens and what not. So joining the MIB was her best bet at proving that she wasn't crazy. Soon by a stroke of luck, she was able to find the MIB organization and got hired. She was sent to the London Branch on probation.

Her first mission was with Agent H, a celebrated agent who was arrogant but very good at his job. Their mission to escort an alien prince got sabotaged and from then on, it was a rollercoaster of action, betrayal, snitching and meeting old flames. Whether the mission was successful or not, I will not say.....no spoilers here!

Review

Okay so first off, I took Jhymi's advice and watched this film as an independent unit even though it was actually the fourth instalment in the MIB series.

I was glad I did cos having watched the first three installments, this fourth one didn't really hit the mark for me. I chose to see the movie from a different perspective. Doing so enabled me to enjoy watching this movie without much disappointment.

The lead actors were great. They had this special camaraderie. You could see it if you looked deeply 😁.

The only sad part about this movie was the loss of Agent T aka high T. Who knew he was an alien in disguise all along. The team trusted him. He was a father figure to agent H but when his true colours were revealed, it shook the London branch office.

Despite the shock of losing high T, the work must continue and agent H was elected as the boss of London branch but as a probationary head.

I really liked the role of the pawn who took on agent M as he queen after his real queen died. His loyalty and fun banter made the movie enjoyable. I especially liked the scene where he had to become an emissary for both agent M and agent H. The banter was quite hilarious.

I think I will give this movie a 6.5/10. The action was minimal but the plot was very good. Plus there was humour by the side and I always appreciate humuor 😁.

Thanks for reading.

Your review of Men in Black: International is thorough and engaging! It's clear you gave the film a fair chance despite mixed reviews, and your insights into the characters, plot, and overall experience are valuable. It’s interesting how you found the lead actors' camaraderie enjoyable, even if the movie didn’t hit the mark compared to the previous installments. The blend of action, humor, and plot nuances seems to have added some merit. A 6.5/10 sounds like a fair rating given your observations. Thanks for sharing your thoughtful take

Yeah, I wanted to be fair to the team😁

What do I say? 🤔 I haven't watched any of the installments, I wonder why it's called that 😂. Well if you say the movie is good, then I'll stick with your review 😉

Yep it is. Thanks a lot sis
