Hello everyone, greetings and allow me to take you on a trip down memory lane. If you are a Justice league fan, I'm sure you'd love these episodes. There are two episode plays of the comic title Legends which can be seen on episode 18 and 19 of the Justice League 2005 collection. Interestingly, I first saw episode 18 on cartoon network, I think, about a decade ago. I watched just episode 18 and when I waited the following evening at the same time for the continuation, it didn't come up. Best believe that from then till now that I'm having the opportunity to complete it via movie box, I haven't been myself. I have been so curious to know exactly how it all played out and how it ended. Basically, from my childhood, up to my teen years and ultimately my adulthood, I have loved watching cartoons.
Growing older I discovered that cartoons are not just for the fun of it but each play has some sort of encrypted message that gives meaning to life. Probably not all cartoons fall in this category but a majority of them do. I was drawn to this particular episode because it explained a lot in the 21 mins watch. It sort of married the concept of science and spirituality together and it did make sense to me. Because really, how else could the comic writers from Lantern’s world know about the Justice Guild heroes from an alternate universe? For all we know, science hasn't advanced to the state of universal travel so the closest that we can come to happenings in other worlds while on earth is through psychic phenomena which was explained in episode 18.
I don't think I have any downside or saw any loopholes watching this cartoon because it was well detailed. Hmm… maybe except for how seamless the time machine worked at the end of the episode. I mean, for something that has been out for 40 years, there ought to have been some glitch and not it working as fast as it did.
Well, let's just assume that the energy from Green Lantern's ring fixed all the glitches and errors that would have arisen because the ring powered it.
A BRIEF SUMMARY
The episode started with a fierce battle between the Justice League and Lex Luthor. Lex, with the aid of a giant robot that he was controlling from a ship, put up a good fight but of course, he was no match for Super man who ripped the robot open from behind and urged batman to throw in his bat bomb.
Already, some members of the Justice League in the likes of Jon, Hawk Girl and Green Lantern, were already knocked out cold and were lying lifeless on the ground. As the robot fell apart blasting electrical energy, it was obvious that it would land on the League members already knocked out cold. Thus, in a bid to save his team mates from the crash, the Flash created a hurricane in the short distance between his team and the robot. The hurricane of course was to prevent the robot from crashing on his team mate.
While Flash's action was supposed to be a safe act, it ended up creating more harm than good. With the speed from the hurricane plus the already distorted electrical energy from the robot, a portal was created and all of them including the robot, was blasted to another parallel universe of the same time continuum.
Now in another dimension, the Justice League, already fully conscious, tried to make sense of all that has happened. Unfortunately for them, they didn't stay out of trouble for long as they got in a battle with a villain. While they defeated the Villain, a misunderstanding between them and the heroes of that Universe known as the Justice Guild ensued. A misunderstanding that gave rise to a fierce battle between both teams of super heroes.
At the peak of the battle, the Flash risked his life to save a member of the Justice Guild. A noble act from the Flash which immediately cleared the confusion and fostered cooperation between both groups of super heroes. However, the Justice League cannot remain with the Justice Guild. Thus, the Justice Guild through fixing of their time machine, tried to help the League get back home to their own Universe.
While the Justice League assisted the Guild with their crime problem pending when the time machine will be ready for them to go back home, Green Lantern just couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off About the Universe and of course, they were soon to discover that things aren't what they seem there. Then, as Jon battles with disturbing visions of an explosion, through Hawk girl, the Justice League soon realised that the real Justice Guild has been dead for ages.
So if the actual Justice Guild is no more, who then are the team of heroes posing to be them? Well, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury lol, this is where my lips are sealed to give you all an opportunity to satisfy your curiosity like I did.
