A young Indian named Pi travels to Canada with his family, the ship sinks due to a storm, while Pi and the tiger are the only survivors of the accident and from here begins the interesting events in which Pi will go through a deep journey that we will all enjoy with this tiger and man.
Pi's father calls him Mussolini's cat, which was named after a swimming pool in France. In his childhood and adolescence, Pi was ridiculed because of his strange name, which is why he chose the name Pi for himself and everyone calls him by that name.
Pi was raised in a Hindu family, but at the age of twelve he was introduced to Christianity and then Islam, and decided to follow the three religions because he "only wanted to love God". His mother supports this mentality, but his father who is rational tries to dissuade him from doing so.
Pi's family, who owns a zoo and has a dangerous tiger where he eats goats alive, and from here his father begins to warn him about the danger of this tiger through that experience, so Pi knows that it may be so bad that it may make him pay his life for it and be a new lesson for him in life.
When Pi turns 16, his father suddenly talks about his decision to move to Canada. He plans to sell zoo animals in Canada and build a new life for his family. He is not satisfied with this decision but has no choice but to accept it.
In the stormy sea, Pi tries to help the person who has fallen into the water, but realizes that it is Richard Parker, he fears Pi and jumps out of the lifeboat where unfortunately a huge cargo ship sank and his family sank with it. In desperation, Pi returns to the boat and after a storm, the lifeguard wakes up next to a donkey A feral, spotted hyena emerges from under the survival cloth, a wild hyena, constantly galloping into the boat while still under anesthesia.
After some time, they were joined by an orangutan floating on a bunch of bananas on the water. The hyena who intends to attack attacks the grave of the wounded donkey and harms its flesh, then tries to attack the orangutan, who pushes the hyena to the bottom of the boat with a powerful blow, but is killed in the re-attack of the orangutan.
Movie Analysis
Life of Pi is different, commendable, and has a dreamlike mood (by the end of the movie, we realize that the first story was actually a dream). The music is very interesting and goes perfectly with the visual effects.
Undoubtedly, the special effects are the most important factor in the success of this movie which shows amazing scenes like stormy sea, sea under bright sunshine, night sea with mermaids, etc.
As if every scene is a beautiful work of art, in addition to a different and somewhat strange depiction, an attempt was made to give the grandeur of the scenes, which, of course, succeeded.
