Hello CineTV
It was a super special contest for an unveiling of our new and improved website! How do you all like the website? The search feature is super handy. And I definitely love the sleek design. Congrats on a cool new website! Check it out if you haven't already: https://www.cinetv.blog/
Now to the contest, there are a limited number of reboots that were actually better than the originals. They have remade a ton of movies that have crashed and burned but we were looking for the best ones and we had some great submissions! I am excited to pick the winners and hand out some awesome prizes.
Let's get to this week's winners:
First Place
Our amazing first place winner in this special contest is @dagger212 with their choice of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and can be found here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@dagger212/cinetv-contest-dirty-rotten-scoundrels
I bet you are glad that you switched from Scarface now! I just have to say that it is hard to impress me and other staff people and this review managed this feat. I honestly didn't know that this was a remake. The movie is hilarious and your review reminded me of how much I loved it. Thank you so much for your review and congrats on winning this special contest!
Second place
In second place we have @nbarrios67 with their choice of Scarface here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@nbarrios67/special-cinetv-contest-47-favorite
Until this contest, I didn't know about the earlier film in the 1930s. Scarface is just such a classic and I appreciate your review. Thank you so much for your regular participation in contests and congrats!
Third place
The third place finisher was @ibraimpvzla18 with a review of X-Men First Class found here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@ibraimpvzla18/special-cinetv-contest-47-x-men-first-class-eng-esp
There have been so many superhero movies that it's hard to keep track. I also grew up with the X-Men cartoon and it is onw of my favorites of all time (probably right behind Batman the Animated Series!). I haven't seen this film but I love that they went back to the origin story. Thanks for your review!
Congrats!
450 CINE COINS and 100 Ecency Points will be transferred to the winners.
Now if anyone disagrees with our choices then please tag us in a comment on this post!
And let's move on to the new contest!
Favorite Romantic Comedy
On to our next contest! Thank you to @ecency for sponsoring our Cine TV contests! Check them out at ecency.com. 🙂
Yesterday was Valentine's Day here in the United States and I have to admit it wasn't so special for me. It was another normal work day and my spouse was gone for part of the night so we didn't really do anything. Oh well, it's never been an important thing for us to celebrate.
If we hadn't had a special contest last week, I would have done this contest but I am so glad we did! Now we can celebrate romantic comedies in honor of Valentine's Day. :)
Honestly, it is hard for my wife and I to find things to watch together and there are a few romantic comedies that we have both thoroughly enjoyed. While not my favorite genre, I do find some of them entertaining. Maybe you can help me find some new romantic comedies to enjoy!
So for this week, we are looking for you to choose a romantic comedy film or connected films and review it/them. Here are some things to think about: is Valentine's Day celebrated where you live and if so, how? is the movie you chose something you want to watch on this holiday? What themes in the movie connect to you regarding love and romance? Do you prefer romantic comedies as opposed to romantic dramas? Does the humor add to the enjoyment? How is the humor in this movie adding to the story? Did you think the characters in the movie were the perfect choices? What would you have done different with the story if you could?
Those are just some ideas to get you started. Please be original and write a creative response to the topic. Don't retell the plot or plagiarize. Originality is required for curation and to be considered for the contest.
I look forward to reading your selections. Have a great week!
Please check out the list of rules and suggestions below or feel free to ask me in the Discord channel if you have any questions (caulderfreeman). Enjoy this week's contest and good luck!
