Hello CineTV
At least some of you wanted to go to the beach. It is finally warming up here and I am sure people are itching to go but I know the water is much to cold.
No one picked the movies Beaches, The Beach, Saving Private Ryan or heck even Top Gun. I thought there were some pretty good choices available that we didn't see.
We had a pretty good amount of entries and I want to thank those that took the time to enter. It is not easy to come up with fun and engaging contests every week so if you have any suggestions, feel free to send them to me in our Cine TV Discord (you can join by clicking here), just tag me @caulderfreeman. With that out of the way...
Let's get to this week's winners:
First Place
The first place finisher was @nbarrios67 with a review of Jaws found here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@nbarrios67/cinetv-contest-55-favorite-movie-with-a-beach-jaws
I have to admit, I hadn't thought of Jaws when I made the contest but it fit the contest perfectly. Something about being in the ocean, as someone who grew up around fresh water where there are no sharks, made me nervous. Thanks for the entry and congrats!
Second place
In second place we have @thunderjack/ with their choice of Beach Party here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@thunderjack/cinetv-contest-55-beach-party-1963
Speaking of a perfect movie choice, this is another one! I love the innocence and fun of these older movies. Thanks so much for sharing this choice!
Third place
Our third place winner in this contest is @osomar357 with their choice of Soul Surfer and can be found here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@osomar357/cinetv-contest-favorite-movie-with-a-beach-soul-surfer-en-esp
What an uplifting story! I absolutely love this story of overcoming and it tied in with the beach theme...swimmingly. Sorry for the pun. Congrats!
Congrats!
225 CINE COINS and 100 Ecency Points will be transferred to the winners.
Now if anyone disagrees with our choices then please tag us in a comment on this post!
And let's move on to the new contest!
Favorite Heist Movie
On to our next contest! Thank you to @ecency for sponsoring our Cine TV contests! Check them out at ecency.com. 🙂
You have seen these movies over and over, the thieves come up with a foolproof plan to make some easy money. Then it is up to the police to try and figure it out and outsmart the crooks. The whole fun of the genre is seeing if the plan will work and if they will get caught.
I love this genre because the plans are usually outrageous or seem to have little chance of success. Will the bad guys win or will justice prevail?
Here are some thoughts to get you started on your review: in this genre, do you find yourself siding with the crooks or the police? Why do you think you side with a certain group? Have you ever daydreamed about making that big score? How would your plan differ from the one in the movie? What target would you go after?
Those are just some ideas to get you started. Please be original
and write a creative response to the topic. Don't retell the plot or plagiarize. Originality is required for curation and to be considered for the contest.
I look forward to reading your selections. Have a great week!
Please check out the list of rules and suggestions below or feel free to ask me in the Discord channel if you have any questions (caulderfreeman). Enjoy this week's contest and good luck!
