Hello CineTV!
Western is a niche genre nowadays and we expected a low amount of responses but it was a pleasant surprise we got a lot of responses and it seems the genre hasn't died out yet! We've thoroughly enjoyed the entries and can't wait to reveal the ones we loved the most!
And here are the winners of the last contest "Western Movies that moved you".
3rd — @kemmyb defines the characteristics of the genre itself in her entry The Only Western Films I've Watched.
2nd — @carlosmiguelfm took on Once Upon a Time in the West by Sergio Leone quite methodically, explored characters and shots, ins and outs.
1st — @buffalobison wrote quite an intriguing piece on the same film, however his take Once Upon a Time in the West (1968): A stylistic Italian trip into art and film was rather distinct. He elaborates some of the scenes, recreates with words vividly, as if you could sense yourself there in the film, experiencing all of it! It is absolutely satisfying to read!
Congrats!
225 CINE COINS will be transferred to the winners.
But they aren't the only worthwhile ones! Here are the honorable mentions that could very well be in the top 3.
And let's move on to the new contest!
Contest 8: Your Favorite Movie(s) From 2021
2021 has ended about 3 months ago, all the films are here already. The films you've missed in theaters are now available on blu-ray or on streaming services. Oscar has been concluded as well (let's forget the Will Smith incident) a couple of days ago too. I think we had plenty of time to watch as many films we wanted to watch from 2021 already.
However, we did not conclude the 2021 chapter in Cinetv as of yet! It is high time we look into that, innit? And so in the next contest —
Write about your favorite movies from 2021 !
