Just finished watching the 2016 film "NERVE" for the first time, and my initial thought is, "Wow, this is a concept that HIVE could harness to create a massive viral sensation and propel us into the mainstream!" 😄 Perhaps we could take inspiration from their idea, minus the super risky stunts, and make it a reality. To grasp what I'm getting at, you'll need to see the movie, but if you're after the condensed version, just keep reading below.

NERVE is Literally "A Killer App!"

Without spoiling the movie too much, here is a brief description. NERVE is a decentralized social media game, likely operated from the dark web. It involves two roles: players and watchers. Watchers pay to watch, and in turn, players earn money by completing dares that watchers vote on. Players strive to claim the top spot and become the number one contender. The dares in the game get increasingly dangerous as the movie progresses which culminates in a high-stakes finale with a twist.

Overall the movie is an action-packed thriller that teaches lessons about the danger of desiring too much fame through social media. Ironically this is the same desire that HIVE must harness in order to make it big in the social media landscape, and the movie NERVE is a great roadmap for one way we could do it.
