I can say that I find it extra valuable that the productions that make the main theme of how precious life is are brought to the audience with a story in the comedy-drama genre. Smiling while watching the movie and experiencing emotional moments at the same time by thinking deeply about our lives gives extra viewing pleasure.
The movie Der geilste Tag, which tells the story of two main characters searching for joy and hope despite the difficult conditions of life, has an effect that I think fits the above description. The film shows how enjoyable the beginning of a tragic story can be, and through the two characters, it is full of teachings such as not losing hope even in the most challenging conditions and enjoying life no matter what the circumstances.

The friendship that developed between the characters and the trust issues that were overcome over time were the most touching moments of the story. In fact, we can think that the most touching moments of the characters waiting for death are moving towards a common end, but the warm and sincere atmosphere created by the movie highlights different emotions.
To give you a small hint, they manage to make you laugh even as they bring tears to your eyes. I can say that the other elements of the movie are also successful, but it would be more appropriate to say that the characters stand out the most and the story is character-driven.
As both characters are nearing the end of their lives, we can see their rediscovery of their belief in love as the sub-theme of the movie because I can't say that it is emphasized too much. While this keeps the drama and the main plot of the movie intact, it remains as a tiny detail about how love makes life beautiful.
I recommend you to watch Der geilste Tag, which has an emotionally rich story that reminds us that life is temporary and that every living being will taste death. With its laughing and thought-provoking scenes, it also contains messages that we should appreciate every moment of life.
