Hola a los amigos de CineTV. Estoy segura que han visto esta serie de Netflix del año 2022, ¿y quién no? Tendría que tratarse de un ser de luz para que alguien no la haya visto 😆. Para muchos, entre los que me incluyo, fue una de las mejores series de ese año. Todo el mundo hablaba del Wednesday, incluso gente mayor.
La trama
Wednesday Addams, es la hija adolescente de la famosa familia Addams. Este papel está magistralmente interpretado por Jenna Ortega. En toda la serie, Wednesday trata de resolver un misterio en el que están implicados sus padres y una serie de asesinatos que ocurren en los alrededores de la Academia Nevermore, un internado para jóvenes con habilidades especiales.
Jenna Ortega es perfecta en su interpretación. Creo que nació para ser Wednesday. Su actuación es cautivadora. Esta chica que siempre se siente fuera de lugar en un mundo que no entiende sus rarezas nos encanta. Ella es el corazón de la serie y nos lleva como espectadores a explorar todo su universo emocional.
Cinematografía
Bajo la dirección de Tim Burton, esta serie mezcla humor negro, misterio y un toque de terror gótico. Este director tiene una experiencia de años para adaptar personajes y mundos góticos, recuerdo una de sus más aclamadas películas: ''Edward Scissorhands'' 😍.
La fotografía a cargo de David Lanzenberg es impresionante, con colores saturados y un diseño de producción que capta lo macabro y lo divertido. Según las propias palabras de Lanzenberg, se creó un estilo visual auténtico para la serie.
Reparto
Aunque Wednesday es el personaje que más me gusta, no puedo dejar de mencionar que este es el tipo de producciones que cuenta con un elenco de actores de lujo. Así que hablemos de algunos de ellos.
Empecemos con la talentosísima Catherine Zeta-Jones. Ella interpreta a ''Morticia Addams''. Toda elegancia y misterio. Soy fan cien por cien de Morticia. Digo, ¿quién no quisiera tener una madrina así? 😆 Su actuación es sofisticada y logra captar la esencia de la madre gótica y protectora.
Luis Guzmán, interpreta a ''Gómez Addams''. Este personaje es súper cómico y carismático. Su actuación es una de las más divertidas de la serie. Solo tuve que verlo en pantalla para soltar una carcajada.
Emma Myers, interpreta a ''Enid Sinclair'', la compañera de cuarto de Wednesday y más tarde su mejor amiga. Esta chica es encantadora y da un equilibrio perfecto al tono oscuro de la serie. Enid tiene un aura colorida y es muy optimista. Es ese tipo de persona de la que a todo el mundo le encantaría ser amigo.
La despampanante Gwendoline Christie, a la que todos recordamos de la serie "Juego de Tronos", interpreta a ''Larissa Weems'', la poderosa directora de la Academia Nevermore. Su presencia es imponente y añade tensión a la serie. Su interpretación es intrigante y hace que todo el mundo se pregunte: ¿está en el equipo de los buenos o en el de los malos?
"Cosa", que no habla, pero se mueve y bastante, está interpretado por Victor Dorobantu, y consiguió transmitir mucho humor con sus intervenciones físicas. Es un personaje extraño, pero cómico.
Por último, me gustaría hablar de Percy Hynes y Hunter Doohan, que interpretan a ''Xavier Thorpe'' y ''Tyler Galpin'', respectivamente. Ambos ofrecen sólidas interpretaciones de sus personajes. Xavier, como un joven con habilidades psíquicas, y Tyler, como un tipo local que trabaja en una cafetería, con una personalidad muy amable, que contrasta con la naturaleza de Wednesday. Por un lado, tenemos a Xavier, cuyo papel aporta un aire de misterio y romanticismo a la trama. La evolución de su personaje a lo largo de la serie estuvo tan bien ejecutada que nos permitió, como espectadores, ver diferentes facetas de su personalidad. Por otro lado, está Tyler, que se convierte en el interés romántico de Wednesday, pero a medida que avanza la trama, su carácter se desarrolla y se revelan capas más complejas de su personalidad, manteniéndonos, como espectadores, intrigados.
Valoración Personal
La serie no fue realizada simplemente para entretener, sino también para dejar un impacto duradero. Entre los temas más importantes abordados se encuentran la identidad, la aceptación y la lucha de Wednesday por encontrar su lugar en el mundo. El director nos invita a reflexionar, sobre la importancia de ser uno mismo, aunque eso signifique ser diferente. Me gusta mucho la serie. Hablaría de ella durante horas. Es una producción televisiva con unas interpretaciones sobresalientes, una dirección visualmente impactante y un guión intrigante. Lo tiene todo para quedarse en nuestras mentes durante mucho tiempo. Tim Burton consiguió crear un mundo que capta la esencia de la familia Addams a la vez que introduce elementos que refrescan la historia y la hacen novedosa.
Recomendación
Si por alguna "extraña casualidad" no has visto la serie y estás en busca de un espectáculo que te haga reír, reflexionar y disfrutar de cosas extrañas, no busques más: porque en realidad estás preguntando por "Wednesday", lo que no sabes 🙃👍.

Hello CineTV friends. I'm sure you've seen this Netflix series from the year 2022, and who hasn't? You would have to be a being of light for someone not to have seen it 😆. For many, myself included, it was one of the best series of that year. Everyone was talking about Wednesday, even older people.
The Plot
Wednesday Addams, is the teenage daughter of the famous Addams family. This role is masterfully played by Jenna Ortega. Throughout the series, Wednesday tries to solve a mystery involving her parents and a series of murders that occur around Nevermore Academy, a boarding school for young people with special abilities.
Jenna Ortega is perfect in her performance. I think she was born to be Wednesday. Her performance is captivating. This girl who always feels out of place in a world that doesn't understand her quirks delights us. She is the heart of the series and takes us as viewers to explore her entire emotional universe.
Cinematography
Under the direction of Tim Burton, this series mixes black humor, mystery and a touch of gothic horror. This director has years of experience in adapting gothic characters and worlds, I remember one of his most acclaimed films: ''Edward Scissorhands'' 😍.
The cinematography by David Lanzenberg is stunning, with saturated colors and a production design that captures the macabre and the fun. In Lanzenberg's own words, an authentic visual style was created for the series.
Casting
Although Wednesday is the character I like the most, I can't help but mention that this is the kind of productions that has a cast of deluxe actors. So let's talk about some of them.
Let's start with the very talented Catherine Zeta-Jones. She plays ''Morticia Addams''. All elegance and mystery. I'm a 100% Morticia fan. I mean, who wouldn't want to have a godmother like that? 😆 Her performance is sophisticated and she manages to capture the essence of the gothic, protective mother.
Luis Guzman, plays ''Gómez Addams''. This character is super comical and charismatic. His performance is one of the funniest in the series. I just had to see him on screen to burst out laughing.
Emma Myers, plays ''Enid Sinclair'', Wednesday's roommate and later her best friend. This girl is charming and gives a perfect balance to the dark tone of the series. Enid has a colorful aura and is very optimistic. She is that kind of person that everyone would love to be friends with.
The stunning Gwendoline Christie, whom we all remember from the "Game of Thrones" series, plays Larissa Weems, the powerful headmistress of Nevermore Academy. Her presence is commanding and adds tension to the series. Her performance is intriguing and makes everyone wonder: is she on the good team or the bad team?
"Thing", who doesn't speak, but moves and quite a lot, is played by Victor Dorobantu, and he managed to convey a lot of humor with his physical interventions. He is a strange character, but comical.
Finally, I'd like to talk about Percy Hynes and Hunter Doohan, who play ''Xavier Thorpe'' and ''Tyler Galpin'', respectively. Both give solid performances of their characters. Xavier, as a young man with psychic abilities, and Tyler, as a local guy who works in a coffee shop, with a very kind personality, which contrasts with Wednesday's nature. On the one hand, we have Xavier, whose role brings an air of mystery and romance to the plot. The evolution of his character throughout the series was so well executed that it allowed us, as viewers, to see different facets of his personality. On the other hand, there is Tyler, who becomes Wednesday's romantic interest, but as the plot progresses, his character develops and more complex layers of his personality are revealed, keeping us, as viewers, intrigued.
Personal Rating
The series was not made simply to entertain, but also to leave a lasting impact. Among the most important themes addressed are identity, acceptance and Wednesday's struggle to find her place in the world. The director invites us to reflect, on the importance of being yourself, even if that means being different. I really like the series. I would talk about it for hours. It is a television production with outstanding performances, visually stunning direction and an intriguing script. It has everything to stay in our minds for a long time. Tim Burton managed to create a world that captures the essence of the Addams family while introducing elements that refresh the story and make it new.
