According to Abraham Maslow he divided the stages of human needs into five stages, the highest being self actualization, this is the stage where every human feel the need to achieve something tangible in life, especially in their career or any other aspects that will bring them respect. This is where winning comes into play, because every achievement in any aspect is a win.
When it comes to talking about winning, the best movie that came to my mind is Vikings. Vikings is a movie that shows the sweet and sour part of winning, and the way it shows this in people's survival makes it really relatable to people everyday life's.
The first part of winning in Vikings I will like to talk about is how winning can make you feel so comfortable, you don't want to achieve or widen your coast. This can be seen when the previous king didn't want to sail west because they always record success and win their battles anytime they sail east.
Another example is the likes of Ragnar lukbrok who never get contented and always feel they can do and achieve more, this is the drive that made him persuade others to sail with him up west even when the king didn't allow him.
Generally winning will always be a part of every human being because we all crave respect and validation and winning in what we do is the best way of earning that respect.
Vikings is a movie that really corrected my approach and orientation when it comes to winning, although it's good to always want more and striving for success, it is also good to know when to stop and make more rational decision because winning and success is very intoxicating and it surely gets into our head.
Overall I will give the movie a 9/10 because it was able to show the different part of winning, and the aftermath of winning, because when one win, someone surely lost. So in every win we must always stay humble and never relent .
