Tengo 32 años y este año cumplo 33, cuando Harry Potter “se puso de moda”, es decir, los libros ya eran como algo que comentaban los niños de mi edad en aquel entonces, yo no tenía idea de que se trataba, a mi me gustaba leer, pero siempre leía los libros que encontraba en la biblioteca de una media hermana mayor y los libros de texto o enciclopedias que compraban mis padres con fines educativos, es decir, mis papás no me comprarían algo como un libro de sobre un niño hechicero, sin embargo, cuando salió la primera película en 2001 mi yo de 12 años sentía mucha curiosidad, en mi casa no había televisión por cable y tampoco me llevaban al cine, por lo que mi gusto en películas casi siempre fue hacia películas muy viejas y no necesariamente para público infantil.
I am 32 years old and this year I am turning 33, when Harry Potter "became fashionable", that is, books were already something that children my age commented on back then, I had no idea what it was about, to my I liked to read, but I always read the books I found in the library of an older half-sister and the textbooks or encyclopedias that my parents bought for educational purposes, that is, my parents would not buy me something like a book about a child sorcerer, however, when the first movie came out in 2001 my 12 year old self was very curious, in my house there was no cable TV and they didn't take me to the movies either, so my taste in movies was almost always towards very old movies and not necessarily for children.

Un día fui a su casa y encontré que el había alquilado la película de Harry Potter, el ya la había visto, pero como yo la quería ver el solo colocó la película en su cuarto y se fue a hacer otras cosas mientras yo veía la película, la película tenía poco volumen pero yo no me atrevía siquiera a tocar el televisor por miedo a descontrolar algo en casa ajena, así que me quedé muy cerca de la pantalla para escuchar la película.
However, I have a cousin three years older who had a VHS and from time to time my mom would take us to my aunt's house and my cousin would rent a movie from a store and we would watch it. One day I went to his house and found that he had rented the Harry Potter movie, he had already seen it, but since I wanted to see it, he just put the movie in his room and went to do other things while I watched the movie. , the movie had low volume but I didn't even dare to touch the TV for fear of messing something up in someone else's house, so I stayed very close to the screen to listen to the movie.
Se los digo con total sinceridad, al principio estaba entusiasmada, la película tiene una estética muy bonita , es oscura en algunas escenas, había lechuzas y magia, todo se veía muy lindo pero no se que pasó , la película me dio sueño, me sentí aburrida, no se si era porque estaba sola y no podía comentar con alguien, tenía ganas de apagar la televisión y salir de allí, sin embargo, yo no soy del tipo de personas que se duerme en las películas , soy de las que presta atención hasta el final, pero por alguna razón dicha película me hizo sentir pesada y sin ganas de estar viéndola aunque la vi hasta el final.
I tell you with total sincerity, at first I was excited, the film has a very beautiful aesthetic, it is dark in some scenes, there were owls and magic, everything looked very nice but I don't know what happened, the film made me sleepy, I felt bored, I don't know if it was because I was alone and couldn't comment with someone, I wanted to turn off the television and get out of there, however, I'm not the type of person who falls asleep in movies, I'm one of those who pays attention until the end, but for some reason that movie made me feel heavy and I didn't want to watch it even though I saw it until the end.
Con el pasar de los años, muchas películas y libros más de Harry Potter se produjeron, pero en mi entorno escolar los niños hablaban de otras cosas que tampoco me interesaban, me gradué de secundaria, de la primera universidad y seguí sin interesarme en dichas películas, no fue hasta que entré en la segunda universidad a estudiar Artes, cuando me di cuenta de que dichas sagas de películas cuentan con muchos fan que defienden e incluso insultan a quienes les dice que no le gusta o a quien no ha visto las películas, así que me sentí un poco excluida de algunas conversaciones porque no se prácticamente nada al respecto de esas películas, pero al mismo tiempo no se me preocupé por eso.
Over the years, many more Harry Potter movies and books were produced, but in my school environment the children talked about other things that did not interest me either, I graduated from high school, from the first university and still did not care about those movies It wasn't until I entered the second university to study Arts, when I realized that these movie sagas have many fans who defend and even insult those who say they don't like them or who haven't seen the movies, like that that I felt a bit left out of some conversations because I know practically nothing about those movies, but at the same time I didn't worry about it.
Lo gracioso del asunto es que no considero que sean malas películas, pero hace un tiempo viví otra experiencia graciosa, estaba en casa pasando los canales de la TV por cable y en tres canales diferentes estaban pasando películas de Harry Potter al mismo tiempo, consideré que eso era un señal para darle una oportunidad a la saga, todas ya habían comenzado así que era difícil saber cual llevaba menor tiempo de haber comenzado, pero me decidí por una, la estaba viendo acostada en la cama y era de día, pero al cabo de un buen rato la película me dio sueño 😅 y cambié de canal. De verdad en todos estos años he querido darle una oportunidad y posiblemente algún día vea la primera película con mi hijo para ver si a él le gustan, pero por ahora mis más sinceras disculpas a los fans de la saga pero me produce sueño.
The funny thing is that I don't consider them to be bad movies, but a while ago I had another funny experience, I was at home turning the cable TV channels and three different channels were showing Harry Potter movies at the same time, I considered that that was a sign to give the saga a chance, they had all already started so it was difficult to know which one had less time to start, but I decided on one, I was watching her lying in bed and it was daytime, but after all After a while the movie made me sleepy 😅 and I changed the channel. Really in all these years I've wanted to give it a try and possibly one day see the first movie with my son to see if he likes it, but for now my sincere apologies to the fans of the saga but it makes me sleepy.
