It was the beginning of the week. I had just got a notification from my faculty group chat that all classes for the day had been cancelled. I was happy and finally smiled that morning cause I wasn't getting my usual Monday crankiness today. I still had to go to school to submit some assignments though, but that was better than staying in class for four hours at different intervals to learn, listen or jot down notes. None of which I have ever been excited to perform or do.
Whilst I was doing random cleaning around my room, a friend came into my room, offering to watch a horror movie. I was doubtful at first and a bit reluctant because it had been a while since I saw a horror movie. The last one I watched,I was 13 and I was scared of the night and to be around or in the dark for weeks. I've always been a bit afraid to be in the dark but it intensified that period. I'm not anymore though, haha.

After contemplating for some minutes,I decided to just go for it. We got popcorns, some soft drinks and candy, she brought her laptop to my room and we went on to see the movie, Insidious . Insidious is a movie that revolves around Josh's family.
The movie starts with Josh, his wife Renai, and their three kids moving into a new house. It's all exciting until their son Dalton falls while exploring the attic and ends up in a weird coma-like state.Desperate for answers, they call in a paranormal investigator, Elise. She's all about the supernatural stuff and tells them that Dalton has this crazy ability to astral project into "The Further," where spirits hang out.Josh is all skeptical at first, but then weird stuff starts happening, and he's all, "Okay, maybe this supernatural stuff is real." Elise and her team, Specs and Tucker, come in to help investigate.
As Josh explores The Further, he runs into multiple spirits, including a red-faced demon. So, Josh has to face his fears and the demon to save Dalton. It gets really intense from here intense.
Just found out it has a part 2. Honestly,I don't know what to rate it. It's a low-key failed excuse of a horror movie. It felt like thriller and I wasn't scared at all. I'd give it a 5/10 or something lower, but the acting was great.
Thanks for reading.
