It's been a long time since I have seen these two in the movie, Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz, and they are the reason why I watched this movie because I have missed watching these talented actors do what they know how to do best on set.
SUMMARY OF THE MOVIE
Back to Action is an action movie with a touch of comedy that was released this year, 2025. The movie started with a flashback of 15 years ago. The movie introduced Matt (Jamie Foxx) and Emily (Cameron Diaz), two CIA agents who were sent for a mission to a birthday party of a terrorist (Gor) child to get a device that can control any electronic systems.
Before they went on the mission, Emily found out she was pregnant but didn't tell Matt about it.
Matt and Emily got the device, and on their way home on the flight, Emily finally told Matt that she was pregnant and thought he would be disappointed, but he was happy. While still in the flight, they encountered a challenge: Gor's men, disguised as the crew members, were there to steal the key (device). They both fought all the men and managed to escape before the plane crash.
They both suspected that their lives were in danger because of the flight incidents, and since Emily was pregnant, Matt decided that they should go off the grid and start a new life with the baby in her womb.
Fifteen years later, Matt and Emily are already married with two kids, a boy and a girl, living in disguise in a different city while taking care of their kids.
Until they discovered that their daughter, who told them she was going to study at her friend's place, actually went to a nightclub, they followed her there and got into a fight with some of the guys there, and someone filmed them and uploaded it on the Internet, drawing the attention of the CIA and Gor's men to search for them in order to get back the key.
Matt and Emily must do everything they can to protect their family.
MY THOUGHTS AND RATING
All the actors did their best. I enjoyed every aspect of the movie. I loved the chemistry between Emily and Matt. I like the movie plot even though there were scenes you could predict next.
The movie, to an extent, highlighted the importance of family love and sacrifice. Because of love for each other and family Emily and Matt they made a sacrifice to give up on the job to prioritize raising their own family.
I will recommend this if only you are a fan of a family-friendly action movie and would rate it a 4/5.
