Not the hardest mystery to solve, but the tension, thrills, and nostalgia made the 2022 Scream worth my watch.

The film actually exceeded my expectations. Might be because I’m dying to see a horror or a suspense thriller, or maybe because the film is so entertaining and the artists look like they’re so into it everything is just delightful to watch.

Directors are probably fans of the franchise they wanted it to look like it’s for the fans and at the same time, give it new energy for the slasher genre. It’s fun, easy to be invested in, and gory – probably all the elements you need to enjoy a good slasher movie.

Basically, it's a Scream movie. If you’ve seen the first three movies, you know the formula. There’s a new killer and the main character’s group is finding out who it is before the killer gets them. But of course, there are personal commitments these characters have to attend to and that, stupid of them, gets them in a dangerous situation.
The reveal isn’t somehow surprising still the thrilling moments are sufficient. Watching it makes me scream louder, I was clenching my fists wanting to punch, kick or do any violent thing at the masked killer.
It was a breathtaking climax. And it was what I needed from the film, what I expected before watching a thriller movie.
This is a decent requel that gives an exciting look and hopefully there's more to come.
