RUN: When The Betrayal Comes From Within (Movie Review)…

in #hive-1217444 days ago

The most painful thing about betrayal is not how bad the stab in the back hurts but turning around to see who is holding the knife. -RANDOM…

This is one of my favorite quote of all times, the original version of this quote was written by ”Harley Quinn”, and the original quote was written like this;

It’s not the stab in the back that kills you. It’s when you turn around and see who’s holding the knife, and most of the time it’s always someone very close to us holding the knife…

Hmmm, this quote is very deep. I just couldn’t help but take a deep breath at how true this statement is. This particular statement is something we all can definitely relate to big time, and it means most betrayals comes from the ones we hold dear and close. I actually heard the first quote in a nollywood movie i saw months ago, so i am choosing to use today in my post because the way it is constructed up there relates more with the movie review i will be talking about today. Now let’s head into what i have for you all on this review…

RUN

To what extent would a man go for the love of material things, and to what degree will he go for money. Run is a movie I would not see on a normal day, and the reason for that is because i am a lover of beauty and elegance when it comes to the actors and actresses i watch their movies. “Run” wasn’t all attractive to me because of the lead actor, but after seeing the female lead, i just couldn’t help but jump on the movie immediately. The lead actress happened to be one of my favorite characters in the industry. She is my crush in the nollywood universe, and she goes by the name ”Uche Montana” and i am sure you’d love her too if you see her movies…

A BRIEF DETAILS ABOUT RUN…

Temison and Deji have been friends for years and even had the opportunity to serve together in the same state. They considered each other to be sworn brothers and would do anything for each other. Their bond has always been strong and beautiful until Onome who happens to be the only daughter of a retired General came into the picture. Temison and Onome’s first encounter was at the NYSC training ground, this was the first time he and his friend Deji spotted her, and I could clearly tell it was love at first sight for Temison. Temison is a virtual artist and a middle class man with no bright future, he fell in love with the only daughter of a retired general, and i am sure you know what that means for Temison…

It’s like walking into a lions den, while on the other hand we have Deji who became a fraudster after his NYSC service, he is also Temison’s trusted friend and along with them is another female buddy of theirs Ifeoma, she is a hustler to the core and have always had eyes for Temison, but then Onome was in the picture. Temison and Onome’s relationship was going smoothly until the issue with her father arose and something sinisterl happened between them upon his first visit to her home. In a twinkle of an eye Onome was dead and Temison who happened to be the only link to the crime became the prime suspect. Who killed Onome is what we don’t know yet, and only those who choose to see the movie will be able to tell who and why Onome was killed, another question is to ask is ”Did onome really die ?”

If only wickedness and tainted blood could be smelt from afar, then all that befell Temison would have never happened in the first place, he wouldn’t have trusted his so called childhood friend with his life. He was betrayed by the very person he trusted with his life and everything. Deji all because of his greed and his extreme love for money and material things resulted to setting his best friend up for a crime he didn’t commit, all this for the sum of three million naira…

This movie is actually a great one because it sends a message to everyone out there, especially to those of us who tend to trust people easily. This movie has really shed more light on the fact that we should be very weary and watchful of those we call friends, these are the that knows us in and out, which is why we have to be careful of those we call friends…

I won’t deny the fact that there are lots of errors in this movie, but then I chose to ignore it because of story and the great lesson it has, these two things worth more than the movie itself, and that is why i will be rating this movie a 7 out of 10…

In conclusion, this is a movie for all, and that is why you must watch it and see what befell the evil doer at the end of the movie. Every day is for the thief but one day is for the owner…

NB; the first two images were designed by me on the canva app and the last was a screenshot taken…

Look at me saying a lot of awww while reading this meanwhile I started this movie sometime back and never finished it. I think betrayal is almost inevitable but it’s more painful when it comes from people close to you.

And that is why the only one that can kill you is someone close to you. It hurt though but not matter how there is never a first escape from that betray

Betrayal is quite bad, i advice people who ever that will tend to be at that position to betray you don’t just run from the person only, flew from the person because he is never worthy to be called friend or what so ever.
