I am very nervous and excited because today is my first post in this community where I will be sharing with you guys a review of a movie called Dunki.
I personally love this movie so I decided to share it with you guys.
Introduction:
So, without wasting time, I will first give you the introduction of this movie and its main characters.
This movie is written and produced by RajKumar Hirani, this movie is released in 2023 and its main characters are Manu and Hardy.
So guys, now I will tell you this movie in short form, the movie starts with a scene showing a hospital in London where Manu starts smoking a cigarette, a worker of the hospital forbids her to smoke, so she gives him a few pounds as a bribe to take me to a place where I can smoke that cigarette, the worker looks around to take her out to see if anyone is there, then Manu escapes from behind and goes to her lawyer, whose name is Patel, and Manu asks him to go back to India, he says I can give you visa to any country but not India. 😕
Hearing the lawyer's reply, she says that Hardy can do it, then calls Hardy. A race in a village called Laltu in which people in their 50s and 60s run, is close to winning the race. Manu's call is called, after hearing Manu's call, he loses the race. 🥲 Because after a long time both of them are talking, In which Manu says to Hardy that he should call us back to India. Manu asks him to come to Mumbai on 21st January. She stayed in London for a long time, she told us, because she had two friends with him, whose names were Balli and Buggu.
Manu informs her friends that we are going back to India whereupon her friends leave their work and then the three friends meet at the airport where Manu tells her friends that we are not going to India but to Mumbai where we will meet Hardy and he will definitely take us to India. 😪
So then a scene is shown which is 25 years ago in which the life of these three friends is told which is a very poor life so these three friends decide to go to London to end their poor life and make it happy for which they talk to an agent but they have no money and no degree. 🤥
Then in the next scene, Hardy's entry takes place in which he goes to meet a military friend of his, he goes to a local food shop to ask for his friend's address, where Manu tells him that I will take you to his house. On reaching his house, Hardy finds out that Manu is his friend's sister and that his friend has passed away. 😢
Hardy was very sad to hear all this and said to Manu that I cannot bring your brother back but I will definitely take you to Abroad .
So Manu and his friends try many ways to go abroad, someone tells them to learn English, someone takes their money and runs away. 😮💨
Helpless with all this, they decided to go to London illegally, but they did not know what difficulties and problems would have to face on the way.
Well, after going through a lot of problems and difficulties, these people finally reach London and when they reach there, they find out how illegally these people live more than 10 in a room 🥴and have to hide from the police because if they are caught, the police will send them back and then they will never be able to get Abroad.
Despite all this, they decided to stay in London.
Because of these disabilities, they were having trouble working, they couldn't work anywhere in public and they couldn't go to a good hospital, so they went to a lawyer to solve it.
The lawyer gave three solutions to avoid all this, the first of which was that they should give some money, since they themselves came here to earn money, so the first solution failed. 🥺
The second was to say that they are in danger in their country and they have come here to seek refuge. Since Hardy was a soldier, he did not want to insult his country, so they refused to accept the second solution.
The third solution was that they could marry a resident of that country and live here with his recognition. In that country it was customary for boys and girls to kiss each other before marriage, but Manu did not like to do that.
Hardy also got angry that the boy would kiss Manu over which Hardy got into a fight with the boy due to which they were all taken away by the police. 🤥
Then when they were all brought to court, Manu's friends accepted the second rule, they said that they were in danger in their own country, so they came here to seek refuge, but Hardy refused to do so, so the police sent Hardy back.
Now the current scene was shown in which all these friends were meeting in Mumbai after 25 years. After so many years all the friends were very happy to meet each other. After a lot of chatting, Manu told Hardy that we don't want to stay in London anymore, we have to go back to India. Hardy, along with an agent, arranged a plane to fly back to India.🙃
The plan was that they all had to board a container disguised as Indians and the agent had to tell the police that some Indians were illegally going to London in a container, on which the police would arrest the Indians in the container and send them back to India instead of going to London.
It was Hardy's plane that was successful and they finally returned to their country after so many years. Their happiness was nowhere to be found. The cramped life of their homes had turned into a prosperous life.🙂
As for Hardy and Manu, they were not married. Manu wanted someone to propose him under the Big Ben of London.
Hardy had made a big ben on the roof of Manu's house as per Manu's wish Hardy wanted to propose to Manu but before Hardy could propose Manu died of an illness Hardy could not fulfill Manu's wish but he fulfilled Manu's wish to bring him back to India and reunite him with her family.🫂
From this movie, I realized how poor and disadvantaged people stay away from themselves in search of employment.
How painful it is to stay away from them, but they have to endure all this to earn a living.🥹
