Hi!

I wanted to tell you that when I saw it Cinetv contest #65 my mind quickly brought back the memory of when I saw the children's movie called Moana because here water is quite involved during the whole plot apart from the fact that you could say it has a life of its own and that made it fun while I was watching the movie.

I don't know if anyone else saw this movie that is really very nice, that the whole family can watch without getting bored because you are already an adult. Now, when I read the theme of the #cinetv contest, the scene where moana (the main character) is playing on the beach very close to the sea came to me quickly and although she tries to get closer a wave throws her back to the sand and so on until you see how the girl enjoys playing with the water. Unfortunately, Moana was forbidden to get too close to the sea because her parents considered it dangerous due to a bad experience that existed in the family and also because half of the sea she saw was polluted, besides the fact that you could see that the current was very strong.

We can see that not only Moana had connection with the sea because her grandmother also had it and felt much respect for those waters that had something magical and did not want her to lose her magic so she encourages Moana to approach the water and part of that incentive is to show her the true origin of where she came from, since her whole family always kept traveling all over the sea. Soon after, the grandmother dies because of some kind of bad energy that spread very fast to reach the land where they lived and this makes Moana go on an adventure to the sea passing through the terrible currents of the water that almost killed her, but the magic happens and she is saved by the water that seems to have life.

Basically, I can say that the whole movie is related to water, since it is where most of the adventures take place and we can see how Moana overcomes all her fears and fears to learn how to become a good sailor to fulfill her mission and save her family with whom she will be sailing later on.

I learned all the songs and sang it to my niece to put her to sleep and I really loved the movie because it was quite funny and we could see that funny girl who was also annoyed with her parents, but she had an incredible wit to achieve what she set out to do, as she got another of the characters, Maui, to give up his ego that was very high to help him reconcile with one of the islands.

Now I'm going to give an unexpected jump and it's because I never use to talk about two movies in one post, but I think it's fair and necessary because while I'm writing a part of moana comes to me as a voice that tells me "water has memory" I was a while trying to locate that phrase in moana, but I was not going to get it because it really belongs to the last movie of Frozen in an episode where Olaf mentions that "water has memory" and basically this phrase is the one that remains in Elsa's mind because that is how she manages to discover the secret that her mother wanted her to discover in order to save both kingdoms. In Elsa's first movie we always see snow and little water, but in her last movie we can see how water is the key to solve the mystery that she found in the past.
Something that makes a big impact throughout the movie is almost at the end when Ana, who is Elsa's sister, believes that she will never see Olaf again, but then Elsa says the phrase "water has memory" and that is how thanks to water she recovers her best friend made of snow called Olaf.

I liked both movies very much when I saw them and I love the fact that when I read the contest that memory appeared and then Frozen comes with that "water has a memory". Although what I like most about Frozen is the union that exists between both sisters despite the strong arguments they may have and that in the end they discover that working together they can have good results for both kingdoms and still be happy, even if they end up living in different spaces.

Well with this I say goodbye, but first I want to mention that to make the post I had to use translator for all the text, so I apologize if something reads a little wrong.

Sort:

Refreshing cartoon movie, I enjoyed it with my nieces, they all wanted to be Moana.
