A series that really made me think, and I wouldn’t categorize it as a thriller because I believe it's a socio-political drama. The worst part is that the story is true and accurately portrayed.
Ryan Murphy conducted a cinematic experiment, with the excellent Evan Peters in the lead, constructing the biography of a man who, if you Google his name on Wikipedia, will make you want to vomit. He achieved something I had never seen before.

He analyzed the life of someone from an ultra-conservative family steeped in hypocrisy, who exhibited deviant behavior from childhood and eventually began to kill and commit other repulsive acts.
He managed to show, in the rawest way possible, that instead of society addressing and understanding this deviant behavior, it rejected it in the name of excellence and propriety.
It also shows that in the most “developed” country of the 90s, justice was class-based, selective depending on skin color, and care for individuals with mental health issues was non-existent and stigmatized by society—just as it is now.
And because some of you might have a different view of the series, I’ll respond in advance:
No, the series wasn’t made to make us sympathize with a killer. It was made to make us empathize with the neighbor who constantly heard the killer in the next apartment, called the cops, and they didn’t show up because she was Black.
The series was made for the Black individuals who barely escaped, went to the police, and weren’t believed because of their skin color.
The series was made because, although the killer had a criminal record for almost every sexual offense, he roamed free and the police believed him because he was white.
The series is a cry against the family, the school, and every institution that blatantly ignored all the signs that something was wrong, sweeping deviant behavior under the rug until it started to stink—just like what happens today.
A true story for those with strong stomachs and endless food for thought.
As for the actual events.
If we had to rank serial killers/criminals/scum of society on a tier list, Jeffrey Dahmer would rank quite low, probably somewhere around C tier.
He wasn’t smart at all as a serial killer, unlike others we’ve seen. He didn’t have any master plan for how he approached his victims. He simply exploited the sexual attraction they had toward him, combined with the extremely racist treatment of minorities (Latinos and African Americans) by the police, and the poor neighborhood he lived in. As we saw, the moment one of his victims actively escaped, he was caught immediately. His apartment made no effort to hide the bones of the people he killed, the photos, or even the smell, which the entire building—especially his neighbor—complained about.
He didn’t play any mind games with the police. He didn’t have some grand scheme for his crimes. How can I put it? He doesn’t even compare to Zodiac and others who wanted to taunt the police and play with them. This trash just killed and ate his victims.
The only reason he wasn’t caught earlier was because he was white.
