Our society is devid3d into two group - The rich and the poor. Poor often look at the rich to be in that section, whereas the rich alwsys look at trying to get more richer. They never look at the poorer section of the society for their upliftment. At the end poor alwsys lives an isolated life among their peers. To highlight this characteristics of the society, the ancient Sanskrit has following to say :
अर्थेन हीनः पुरुषस्त्यज्यते मित्र बान्धवैः|
त्यक्तलोकक्रियाहारः परासुरिव निष्प्रभः||
Arthena heenah purushastyajyate mitra baandhavaih.
Tyaktalokakriyaahaarah paraasuriva nishprabhah.
Arthena = of money or wealth.
Heena = without, deprived of.
Arth heena = a very poor person. Purushastyajyante = purushh + tyajyate. Purushah = a person.
Tyajyate = abandon.
Mitra = friend.
Baandhavaih = close relatives. Tyaktalokakriyaahaarah = tyakt + loka + kriyaahaarah.
Tyakta = left alone, deprived.
Loke = in social life
Kriyaahaar = day to day performance.
Paraasuriva = Paraasu + iva;
Paraasu = a dead body.
Iva = like
Nishprabhh = gloomy, lusterless.
Friends and relatives of a very poor person abandon him, and being deprived from participating in various social activities, his position in society becomes lusterless like a dead person.
The disparity between the rich and poor exists due to a complex interplay of factors including unequal access to education, healthcare, employment opportunities.
The day-to-day experiences and priorities of rich and poor people can differ significantly, making it difficult to relate to each other's challenges and perspectives. Wealthy individuals often gravitate towards other affluent people, attending exclusive events and living in upscale neighborhoods, naturally limiting their interactions with those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. Rich people actively "leave" poor people, due to a significant difference in lifestyle, social circles, and life experiences, which can create a disconnect in understanding and shared interests, sometimes leading to a lack of common ground for interaction or meaningful conversation.
