Yesterday it was an important learning. All of us have a certain level of intellect, however not everyone use it purposely. If a person does not use their intellect in life, they may end up struggling and faving many challenges. Not engaging the intellect can hinder the ability to absorb new knowledge and skills, making it difficult to adapt to changing circumstances. Not utilizing one's intellect can prevent them from recognizing and pursuing beneficial paths in life.

यदि न क्वाSपि विद्यायां सर्वथाक्रमते मतिः|
मान्त्रिकास्तु भविष्यामो योगिनो यतियोSपि वा||
Yadi na kvaapi vidyaam sarvathaakramate matih,
Maantrikaasu Bhavishyaamo yogino yatiyopi vaa.
Yadi = if.
Na = not.
Kvaapu = kva + api.
Kva = under certain circumstance.
Api - even
Vidyaayaam = education.
Sarvathaa = by all means.
Kramate = advances, makes progress.
Matih = intellect.
Maantrikaastu = sorcerers or magicians.
Bhavishyaamo = will become
Yoginoo = a yogi, an ascetic.
Yatiyopi = yatiyo + api.
Yatiyo = a sage.
Vaa = or.
If due to certain reason or circumstances, my intellect does not
help me to pursue my education, I will either become a magician or a Yogi or a sage.
Sarcaticaly, highlighting the importsnce of using intellect, the author says, In the society it is common for illiterate and incompetent persons to earn their livelihood by wearing the attire of a street performer, a yogi or a sage.
A person who does not use intellect or make excuses may spoil their life in big way. They could not achive success in life and end up on street in different way. With intellect, we can weigh different options, assess potential outcomes, and make informed decisions. Intellect enables us to generate new ideas, think outside the box, and develop innovative solutions.
