I created an account on HIVE almost a year ago because of Splinterlands. I know nothing about HIVE other than that you need to have it in order to play Splinterlands and you will need the RC/HP so you can rent more cards in the game.
Before Hive, I am wasting my time browsing Facebook, Youtube, or playing games. I haven't improved myself a bit on those sites. However, when I learned blogging and hive from my guild leader on splinterlands @pogier, I tried something I had never done before: I wrote a blog and created a video tutorial. I learned something new and stepped outside of my comfort zone.
After 6 months, I began blogging in the HIVE network, where I learned a lot. I tried looking for other sites like the hive that would reward you for creating blogs/content, but I discovered that this is the best and the most rewarding.
I began investing in HIVE after being so impressed with it that I increased my HP to 100 and set my first goal to increase that HP to 500. And since I fell in love with both hive and Splinterlands, I reasoned, "Why not use the two of them to achieve my first goal?". Thus my blogging journey began. I started blogging for the Splinterlands Challenges and am now sharing/blogging my daily games and quests on Splinterlands to boost my HP even more.
At the time of writing, I have powered up 10 HP from 385 to 395 HP, which is nearly 400 HP. I'm still 105 HP short of my first goal of 500 HP; it's a long and tedious process. However, being rewarded for your efforts will motivate you; aside from that reward, there is also the self-fulfillment of improving your communication skill and writing.
