I was watching a YT video by @aftersound where he was talking about Splinterlands stuff, and in one moment, he used specific wording to describe part of the cryptosphere... He was talking about vocal people in the community who sometimes are saying one thing, but doing something differently... Or one day saying one thing, and the next day changing their story... That made me think about certain things that happen on HIVE in general (not just Splinterlands folks), and I would like to say a couple of things about that...

Bear markets are nasty... Usually, you are alone outside, picking up coins, accumulating, and doing your work as you know that's the moment to push it the hardest... There are a few people around you doing the same, and you try to motivate them to keep doing it, to keep pushing through hard times, while the majority is standing on the sidelines, shitting on your head, saying that you are crazy and how everything will go to zero...
Then the bull markets come, and it becomes even nastier... Now, you have all people screaming from the bottom of their lungs how we are going to the Moon, and how everyone will going to be rich... All those who were shitting on your head are now around, being the most vocal in the community, our saviors and prophets that know everything...
I don't know, but even as being well-positioned BEFORE the bull market, my levels of anxiety and stress are going through the roof while we are in the reign of the bulls... It's not just focusing, but it's like all those "bad actors" are those who are the loudest, those who are preaching the big millions earned by meme coins trading and buying new shiny shittokens...
Then I try to lower the volume of noise as much as I can... But, it's like you are sitting on the bench by the sea, enjoying the peaceful morning, and then every 2 minutes the car with loud music passes by you with opened windows... That's how I sometimes feel in the bull markets... And you think, maybe that type of music is the one that is the most valuable, the best... But usually, it's not... It's just played to attract more attention, to feed the ego, to distract you, or I don't know what...
That music isn't the one that you should listen to... The most vocal people in the community aren't necessarily those who are the smartest, those that you should listen to learn something of... They are just those that have a megaphone in their hands, nothing more, nothing less...
In the end, it's always about looking up what smart people are DOING, not what loud people are screaming... Satoshi didn't scream about Bitcoin when he created it... Bitcoin was quietly growing, while others were yelling how it's nothing and how we should all ignore it... If you have to yell to make people listen to you, it speaks more about you than about the message that you are sending...
I remember one literature class when I was in elementary school when my teacher had a soar throat and he had to speak very quietly... That was the day when we learned the most...
Back to the #HivePUD!
This was my HivePower BEFORE the PowerUP:
I got some liquid HIVE from other projects and "trading the pumps"... 😃
And the final result...
At my January #HivePUD I was saying that I was "almost" at 105K, and now, I'm happy that I got over 106K!!! That's around 1600HP growth in 1 month! Not bad at all!
What's next? I mentioned in my previous posts that I tend to get distracted by new things in crypto, but I will not get distracted from growing my HivePower, that's for sure! Bull markets bear markets, it doesn't matter... The HivePower number will go up as there is no social network crypto blockchain as HIVE!!!
As I have powered up over 1 HIVE every day during January, I have collected my #HivePUM badge too!
Screenshot from https://hivebuzz.me
Last month, 32 Hivians got this badge, and this month, there are 31 consistent Hivians! Congratulations to everyone who did it! It's not easy to do this, especially in a year where everyone waits for the bull market to sell some HIVE...
To get this badge, you should power up at least 1 HIVE every day of the month OR create a post every day with rewards set to 100% HP...
So, what is #HivePUD?
Just a short introduction to HivePUD... What does it mean at all? #HivePUD is shortened for the Hive Power Up Day. It's an event when Hive members power up their liquid HIVE and stop any active PowerDown! It is organized by great fellow Hivians @streetstyle and @traciyork and is held every 1st day of a month.
Check out the official #HivePUD post for February here...
Thank you for your valuable time,
