There's so much about Hive that I kept skipping this day (every first day of the month) because I didn't understand it well enough what it was and why I needed it. In fact, it's important to do this in the first month of being on Hive to understand Hive a little faster and fly a little faster if you do fall into that barrel of honey)
So, this is my first Hive Power Up Day. I've been preparing for it all month since I missed it in March for family reasons. It was a shame, but it couldn't be helped... All the honey went to other bees, and possibly other bears).
If anyone, like me, doesn't already know about this wonderful event each month, I suggest making sure to check out this post: Hive Power Up Day - April 1st 2022. I highly recommend participating as well! Don't make the same mistake I did). After all, it takes from 10 liquid Hive and 5 minutes of your time to participate.
Pros of The Hive PUD - my FOMO
All the pros of the Hive PUD, it really is my FOMO for all this time that I've been missing out on. But here I am nonetheless! And here's what I get:
- a power-bee badge. The Hive community loves badges that end up meaning more than just a sticker (trust me). But it's actually kind of cute.
- the ability to curate more power and be rewarded accordingly, which encourages you to keep up and support community members continuously. And even more writing to participate in next month's Hive PUD
- the opportunity to earn more interest with Power Up Hive Power
- the opportunity to receive gifts from community old-timers that will also help any hard-working bee of this huge hive grow faster
What's accomplished in a month
To discipline myself and compare last month's and future metrics, I decided to record everything in a post. Namely, the metrics that worry me the most and seem to be preventing me from moving faster than I can and am able to.
HP
As you can see in the screenshot below, which is taken from PEAKD analytics, I went from 148 HP to 168HP in March. That's extremely low, this month I'm going to make at least 100 HP, which will be 5 times more than last month. Hmm, that's a good goal to start with!)
Comments
I read and support various members of the Hive community all the time, but I very rarely comment on their posts, which is very bad for me and them, because they too are missing out on the simple attention that is so necessary in large groups of people. Nonsense, but it's true.
As shown in the screenshot below, all from the same PEAKD analytics, I really don't do much work in this area. An average of 5 comments a day is very low. I set a goal to double that number. But I think it is important to maintain even more!
Posts
This is my main problem. I really love to write, but I'm constantly lazy or put off, so I write a maximum of 2 posts a week, which is no good at all. I set a goal of 4-5 posts a week. Naturally good long posts of 500 words and more. A post every other day - I think I can do it!
Conclusion
At the time of writing the post, there was a little more than 10 hours to have time to participate. So I invite everyone who forgot or hesitated, there are 10 hours left! Do not hesitate!
I did a Power Up 10 Hive this month and I'm thinking of doing another Hive PUM. In the meantime, I'm waiting for my badge from the community, just like the 222 people in the screenshot below:
