Masking Returns in 2025
As of January 6, 2025, the BC Ministry of Health in British Columbia announced the return of mandatory medical masks in facilities operated or contracted by provincial health authorities. This mandate applies to hospitals and other healthcare facilities in BC and is expected to remain in place until Spring 2025. In California, several counties in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Alameda and Santa Clara, are set to reinstate mask mandates starting November 1, 2024, and lasting until March 31, 2025, in health care facilities.
