Happy new year 🎉 I feel so good about the fresh energy that tends to always come with a new year. I hope to be more active here on Hive this year. And isn't it a great start to post something on the first day of the new year 🙂
I haven't been so active creating AI art lately but I resumed this activity this week, inspired by @riverflows, who has been very enthusiastic about it. If you haven't already, check out her stuff, it's really something.
Creating AI art is fun, even though I lost some of my inspiration some time ago because I didn't really get the results I was looking for and I kind of felt I was wasting my time.
But now when I started 'prompting' again I was kind of shocked by how much Midjourney had changed, in just a month or so. I was also testing, just for fun, to use some of my earlier prompts and the results were just SO different. I also discovered the 'remaster' function is gone, that was kind of my favorite. But it seems like the generated images have a completely different style now anyway.
But it's not bad, I guess. Now it's so much easier to generate something interesting way faster. At least that has been my experience. I'm a bit frustrated though that the variations tend to be very similar to the original image. Earlier you could kind of go down a rabbit hole, moving in a completely new direction, just by creating variations.
This is just my experience. Maybe someone else has a different one?
I have mainly been playing around with creating animals. Animals as spiritual guides or having some kind of spiritual qualities.
First out is The Raven.
It seemed like the AI interpreted wisdom as an egg. It more feels like something it protects, rather than offers (the prompt is black raven offering its wisdom).
Here's a different version (not an egg anymore).
This one wasn't what I had in mind at all but I found it interesting, or funny, somehow.
I like the details on the wing in this one, and the framing. I'm not so happy about the flying bird though, unclear if that's a raven as well?
Moving on to The Owl.
The prompt I was using for these: owl sitting inside a hollow tree at night, full moon in background, yellow eyes, wisdom
I had actually been playing around with owls before, the last one of these 4 I created maybe 1-2 months ago, using the same prompt. Such a difference!
Moving on to The Robin. This is a very special bird to me. So connected to my father.
Here I was moving in a different direction. Didn't look for such an expression but it's so interesting what the AI comes up with 🙂 The prompt for this last one is robin bird as a spiritual guide, leading the way.
I'll end this post with The Hummingbird.
It kind of feels like the details are more on the surrounding flowers than on the actual bird though. Not so happy about that.
There's so much you can create. Once you start and you get something you find interesting, it's hard to stop, haha. More AI art coming up 🙂
All of the images are created with Midjourney.
Thanks for reading 🌸
Love and blessings to you all 💚
