I think it is finally time to begin to show you my new pictures of the checkered beetles in the garden this year. Since I've already showed you the only specimen I found last year there.
This year, after this creature is not alien and unknown and is already remembered by me 😁, I managed to capture it several times.
Yes, I'm saying 'it', as if there was just one of them in the garden.
And it really seemed to be the case 😄
Ok, not one, but two at most, because I once saw there a mating couple (yet they were so shy that they immediately flew away the moment they saw my phone camera, pointing at them)
Most of the times 'IT' behaved like a drug addict, stuck its head in the flower it fed on 😁(can you remember my theory about the pollinators or just insects feeding on pollen?)
But this one here, while it also appears to have stuck its head in the plant (although there are no flowers here to feed on), was actually very restless and constantly moving around, so it was difficult to photograph.
Like here.
And here.
And exactly here, it finally decided to fly away 🐞👋
But don't worry, don't be sad 😄 I have taken many other pictures of this awesome creature, captured on various plants, constantly feeding. To tell you the truth, I recently watched the little turtle in our back yard constantly feeding as it crossed the garden. I observe the same in many other animals too. Including our cats. (Well, they do have some limit of what they can eat.) Yet what I observe all summer in the actions of this beautiful beetle in our garden does not surprise me. What always amuses me is just its drug addict behavior 😄
So, until next time 💚
