Hello everyone, again I come here to try to give my point of view on this week's topic, a topic that is interesting, although I think there is not much fabric to cut, since almost everything has been said, for my part I do not want to write what many already know so I will try to encompass my response to what I perceive day by day.
Certainly, I believe that the human species is guilty to a greater extent of all the environmental damage we are going through, I do not know if I am wrong, but I think it is so, I have always believed that we do not deserve the earth and, although in many countries are already taking steps to lower pollution and pollutants that we produce daily, I think it is not enough. For example, in Venezuela we have a serious problem with the garbage we generate, since it is a lot and apart from the fact that we do not recycle, the competent agencies turn a blind eye, and public services such as garbage collection do not work, it is very common to see people throwing garbage in full avenues, piling them in corners and do not even have the decency to bag it, this has brought as consequences an epidemic of flies near where I live, as I said, I would focus on what I perceive in my environment.
On the other hand, although I think that much can be done to reverse all these effects that cause our climate changes, as a species we may not achieve anything, for the simple fact that many of the polluters are very powerful industries that even here in my country are outside the law, or simply governments do not intervene, as they benefit economically from these.
But as individuals can we achieve something? I think so, I think we can be aware of the damage we cause and although one person does not make a difference, we can teach others, our actions may not affect many, but if many of us focus on trying to recycle, perhaps we can collectively teach others, creating awareness about what is happening, This reminds me of the scene in the Simpsons movie, when Lisa served contaminated water from the lake to the people so that they would realize the seriousness of the issue and take action, well we don't have to reach those points, but we can create campaigns to clean and collect our spaces.
I have been fortunate to see many events related to this issue, but I am very few people who attend, if more people did not only in my town, but in underdeveloped countries, which is where I have seen more environmental pollution, change maybe, just maybe it could be feasible, I also know it is not enough, but every act that is done on the planet to try to stop these effects, could come a time where things improve in our climate and our planet has a respite from the plague that we humans are.
