Miracle is an act not fully explained by natural forces but attributed to a supernatural force — mainly God. You will agree with me that miracles biblically involve God doing something uncommon and usually awe-inspiring in order to reveal himself to mankind.
Yes!! I have witnessed a miracle before and that was during my final exams in the university. I was called from home that my eldest sister was sick. I saw it as the normal sickness, so I told her to just take drugs so that she would be fine — though I prayed but was a bit reluctant with it.
She took drugs like advised but no improvement. She ran various tests that confirmed she was OK but she was far from being ok. It was then we knew that it wasn't just any type of minor sickness but an attack from the pit of hell.
It got to a time, she started bleeding from her mouth, non-stop menstrual flow… We just had to rush her to the hospital because at that point LIFE WAS ALREADY LEAVING HER. We got to the hospital and she was admitted. Before anything could be done, the doctors recommended that she take different drugs entirely for stability.
We will have to transfuse blood on her before carrying out some tests again — that I could faintly hear the doctor say to us, as at that point fear became my companion. She took pants full of blood, yet she was losing them. We stayed for days and all we did was just donate blood — from siblings while she was lying helplessly in pain.
Hmmm!!... The atmosphere was tense, tears were rolling…, and then came the shock of it all. It was 1:00 Am in the morning and the nurse had just come to remove the infusion without saying any word, but yes she was breathing. Could it be that she is fine? Are we going home now? (hospital is never a place to be), those were the thoughts I was having.
My mum rushed to the doctors demanding a response yet didn't get any. We had to call my brother who is also a medical doctor but wasn't within reach, at that point he was sincerely needed. So he used his position and demanded for her file where we saw 6 hours left. Wow I was literally out of the world but yet trying to be myself so she won't notice anything because I was the one in the room with her!
Tears rolled down my eyes… a tense atmosphere walling everywhere. Then came a calm spirit who reminded me to take it to God in prayers. How can I even call hope, strength was lost (I could just say God have mercy) somehow just somehow I laid my head on the bed she was admitted and then I had a dream when God sealed the leaking pocket carrying blood and that was it.
We couldn't take her out of the hospital because it was late so all we did was just wait to hear the most dreaded news. The next morning came and she was still breathing — faintly though, just right then I knew a miracle had happened bcux she had lived past 6 hours.
I have witnessed a lot of miracles but this I feel I should share here because it happened when it was most desired.
