Am happy to be part of this week's QOTW. The topics we've been discussing have been interesting engaging . This week's is no exception.
I will like to share my view about the term Karma and Destiny. These words are key words and should be carefully considered. I know we all have our perspective and opinion which should be respected as we are all from different backgrounds and location. I will like to speak from a religious point of view which I feel am very okay with.
The word Destiny talk about purpose and a predestined will. Every human being was created for something specific, man is created for a particular purpose which should be a drive for his existence,it should be the reason why he wakes up each day and launches out.Take for example the reason why the force (army police etc) are created is primarily for security, that is the purpose of their existence. But it's quite unfortunate that many of us live without purpose in view nor live a purpose driven life and so disalign from the predestined will (destiny) of our creator God.
I believe in the word destiny but I would love to say it's not automatic, how do I mean? Well I've heard stories and personally encountered people that were meant to be one thing in life but ended up the other way round. Although their life was designed to go in a particular direction but by self will they changed the plan themselves and ended up in the wrong direction;looking exactly the opposite of what they should have become.
I've also seen so many who started out in the wrong direction but along the line maybe by time and chance or by the intervention of the divine, they got it right and threaded the part earmarked for their destiny. This is why I said it is not automatic. Somehow many of us know how our lives should look like or why we were created in the first place...if you don't know then you need to go back to the drawing board. You are not to just exist, you're to live, these are two different term that should be carefully considered.
Karma is another term I want to very careful to contribute to. There is a universal law that people believe in which says you will surely reap what you sow. Yes we've seen this happen to people,we've heard stories of how people did some bad things and then they got a heavy payback of what they did later on in life. Karma may truly exist as I said but seeing from the lens of a believer there's an exemption exclusive to those who believe in the gospel of Christ. Don't be quick to cast the first stone at me,at least hear what I have to say,I believe everyone is entitled to his or her opinion,so kindly follow and see if you can pick on or two things from my write up.
If any man is in Christ,He is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold all things have become new
This is a provision that defiles the law of karma especially when it comes to wrong actions begging for vengeance.please don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to justify wrong actions. But I want you to carefully consider this example which am going to be giving from a religious stand point... Many of us used to be sinners, who have gotten into all matter of evil act which are even too odd for the mouth to talk about, some of us were dreaded and despised but somehow we came in contact with Christ and He saved us. What Christ did was first to forgive us and by forgiving us,he blurted out our sins and also remembered them no more. Meaning there was no record of sin any longer as far as a that used-to-be sinner is concerned,he is now a new creature having a clean slate to start afresh. If the God of the universe justifies this sinner, who on earth,or what force on earth can condemn this justified being so much so that his sin and past action will be used in visiting him again? The record is gone,he is a new being, the old is gone.
Karma can be active in the lives of as many that are subjected to the dictate of this world and it systems but not to those who have tapped into a higher law. We shouldn't really fuse about this really. You know laws can be made in a land and certain people can still be legitimately immune against it. That the way it works. Please ensure you digest this write up before attempting to make comment if you must.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to share my thoughts about this topic.
