If you're near the sea and don't have a deeper part of the sea. You will have an idea that many types of sea urchins can be eaten. I've been writing in my blog about how the locals in our place benefit from the resources of the sea. We may not have bigger fish to catch, we have different types of food to eat. Not just sea urchins and many more. Of course, it's delicious but can be more when you're with friends or family. However, this time I had my classmates in high school eat together.
How I love the day of Sunday, not the day itself but the gathering most of the time to be thankful with this day. #beautifulsunday said by @ace108 and it could be #sublimesunday from the idea of @coff33a. It's perfect since I had a great time with my friends that we haven't seen for a long time. The food was just an excuse or it was just a way to be united while enjoying the time. It's a bit hungrier when there's a continuous conversation without food after all. That's why I ordered one bucket of "dapaw-dapaw", a specific name of sea urchin.
It was morning when we had a conversation in our group chat. They told me they were free and they were on the go for a meetup. They suggested having " suwaki or tujom", which are the other types of sea urchins. I told them it was impossible to have those sea urchins nowadays because of the typhoon incident. The sea under after the typhoon was covered with sand, obviously, many sea urchins will be hard to find. Then later on I just said what if "dapaw-dapaw" since it's living under the sand. For sure we could have it or we could order for at least one bucket. In buying sea urchins it will be measured through a bucket, not a small bucket but a regular one.
At noon we saw each other at the shore under that Talisay tree. Actually, it was hard to find a beautiful place where the heat of the sun would not reach us. Most of the trees along the shore fell after the typhoon. We're just lucky to have this one tree standing and returning the leaves to normal. Not a good spot but at least we sheltered ourselves from the heat of the sun.
The location was solved so we started eating and then had a funny conversation about the old days and the new days. They were ganging up on me because I was the only guy in the group. I had one friend who usually joined us but he was busy. Supposedly, it would be 6 of us who always meet when we have time but only us are available. It would be so much with the 6 of us but it's hard to force things to happen when we are all adults and have families. Just don't include me because I'm not in their state and stay single.
We stayed for almost 2 hours with so much fun. It's not really a party gathering but just time to plan for the next bigger occasion. In time to come, there will be more of us for sure and have more budgets to celebrate. All we need is to plan it to make it happen. Anyhow, even though it was just a simple day I felt it was one of the great days.
