¡Hola mis queridas ladies de Hive! He estado algo perdida y los he extrañado a todos demasiado pero es que últimamente he estado sin internet y algo enferma, y eso me ha complicado un poco las cosas pero ya estoy aquí con algo que ¡me emociona mucho contarles!
Hello my dear ladies of Hive! I've been a bit lost and I've missed you all too much but lately I've been without internet and a bit sick, and that has complicated things a bit but I'm here with something that I'm very excited to tell you!
Y es que ¡Tengo mi primer empleo! Es algo que me emociona mucho, sobre todo porque estoy ejerciendo mi carrera que es el periodismo.
I have my first job! It is something that excites me a lot, especially because I am practicing my career, which is journalism.
Cómo saben, me gradué en noviembre del 2021 de Comunicadora Social y sinceramente pensaba que no ejercería muy pronto puesto que para lo que quería trabajar debía viajar constantemente a otra parte para poder hacerlo o viajar a la capital pero gracias a Dios se me presentó está oportunidad y sin dudar me lancé a ella.
As you know, I graduated in November 2021 as a Social Communicator and I sincerely thought that I would not practice very soon since for what I wanted to work for I had to travel constantly to another place to do it or travel to the capital but thank God this opportunity presented itself to me and without hesitation I jumped at it.
Empecé a trabajar en el departamento de prensa en la alcaldía de mi localidad y aunque la política no es lo mío y mi experiencia ha estado más dirigida hacia el área de espectáculos y cultura, siento que esta ha sido una nueva experiencia que poco a poco me llena de nuevos aprendizajes
I started working in the press department of my local mayor's office and although politics is not my thing and my experience has been more directed towards the area of entertainment and culture, I feel that this has been a new experience that little by little fills me with new learning.
Aquí me he dado cuenta que debo estar pendiente de absolutamente todo. Cuando el alcalde debe hacer un acto de presencia yo debo estar pendiente de todo lo que sucede y diga para poder plasmarlo en la noticia; algo que me ha costado un poco porque mi mente es algo dispersa, no puedo mantener mucho la concentración sinceramente jaja pero eso es algo que voy aprendiendo y no debo olvidar que en estos casos la grabadora es mi mejor amiga. Aunque hay veces que no me da chance de grabar porque también tomo fotos con el celular pero cuando pasa eso opto por también hacer breves videos que me ayudan mucho, además de que son buenos para las redes sociales. Mato dos pájaros de un solo tiro y mis jefes felices jajaja
Here I have realized that I have to be aware of absolutely everything. When the mayor must make an act of presence I must be aware of everything that happens and say to be able to capture it in the news; something that has cost me a little because my mind is somewhat scattered, I can not keep much concentration honestly haha but that's something I'm learning and I must not forget that in these cases the recorder is my best friend. Although there are times when I don't have the chance to record because I also take pictures with my cell phone but when that happens I also choose to make short videos that help me a lot, plus they are good for social networks. I kill two birds with one stone and my bosses are happy hahaha.
También he descubierto que ser periodista no es fácil. Es divertido cubrir eventos, tomar fotos (mi parte favorita), conocer nuevas personas pero hay ocasiones que te chocas con momentos no tan gratos que pueden hacerte pensar ¿Esto es lo que quiero? Por lo menos, sólo en mi primera semana de trabajo me topé con una experiencia que nunca en mi vida me había pasado antes como es el que alguien discuta contigo de tal manera que te intimide para que no cumplas con tu trabajo. Y bueno, son cosas que se ven en la política y hay que enfrentarse a ello, me toca hacer oídos sordos y quedarme calmada, no darle el gusto a nadie de que provoque una reacción en mi puesto que obviamente eso es lo que pretenden con sus acciones. Pero, aunque ese momento me hizo dudar de mi por un instante, lo cierto es que me gusta lo que hago y no debo dejar que nadie se entrometa en ello. Son más las cosas buenas que he hecho que las malas que han sucedido.
I have also discovered that being a journalist is not easy. It's fun covering events, taking pictures (my favorite part), meeting new people, but there are times when you run into some not-so-pleasant moments that can make you think is this what I want? At least, just in my first week on the job I encountered an experience that had never happened to me before in my life, such as someone arguing with you in such a way that intimidates you from doing your job. And well, these are things you see in politics and you have to deal with it, I have to turn a deaf ear and stay calm, not to give anyone the pleasure of provoking a reaction in me since that is obviously what they are trying to do with their actions. But, although that moment made me doubt myself for a moment, the truth is that I like what I do and I should not let anyone interfere with it. There are more good things I have done than bad things that have happened.
La verdad es que me ha encantado lo que he hecho hasta ahora ¿qué ha sido complicado? Pues algo, pero ¿Qué inicio no es penoso al principio? Lo importante es aprender de todo lo que estés viviendo, que disfrutes lo haces, que des siempre lo mejor de ti y que nunca jamás te dejes intimidar por nada ni nadie. Ninguna persona tiene el derecho de hacerte sentir menos por el simple hecho de que estás cumpliendo con tu trabajo. Haz lo que te gusta y lucha por ello💜
The truth is that I have loved what I have done so far, what has been complicated? Well, somewhat, but what start is not painful at the beginning? The important thing is to learn from everything you are living, to enjoy what you are doing, to always give the best of yourself and never ever be intimidated by anything or anyone. No one has the right to make you feel less for the simple fact that you are doing your job. Do what you love and fight for it💜.
