Hello hivers. I hope you're all good. Today Im helping my boss bake some cup cakes for her grand daughters birthday. She will bring it to school to serve as snacks. I remember last time when she also baked bread. It didn't turns out well and she said it's terrible. It's hard and not the one she have imagined. I didn't even get the chance to try it coz when I turn my head it's already in the trash bin😁. She also don't know what went wrong that it didn't turn out good. I just hide my smile that time coz I don't want to offend her. Making this cup cake now brings back memories😁.
Back to making this cup cakes. She have the recipe and she do all the batter and mixing. I just help her measure the flour, butter, and crack the eggs. I don't have the exact recipe but I can memorize the ingredients. Though I don't have the exact measurement. She uses self raising flour, butter, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, white sugar, pinch of salt and blueberries. I was watching her mixing it. I also help putting the cup cake liners into the cup cakes pan. After she finish mixing everything, she scoop it ready.
After scooping everything, I put the blueberries on top and she poke it using a stick to hide.
Can see her stick trying to hide the blueberries and the shadow of my phone taking photos😁.
Then I put it in the oven in a moderate temperature (165°C). Bake it for 20 minutes. When it is almost ready she turns up the temperature to 170 to brown it nicely.
We did two batches but they don't look the same. The 2nd batch looks fatter and the blueberries can't be seen. Unlike the 1st batch. Lucky everything turns out good this time. I've tried the blueberries when I was washing it and it's sour. If for me I would prefer a chocolate chips to put on top but she said that chocolates are not suitable for children below two years old. Her grand daughter just turns two and some children or babies there are just eighteen months. That's why she choose to put blueberries instead of chocolate chips.
She put it together in one rack to cool down. She also bought some decoration to put in it.
After she pack it all ready to bring to school for snacks. I'm sure the children would like it.
Sometimes baking with her is quite fun and it gave me new ideas. For I know in myself that cooking or baking is not my cup of tea, However helping her do it gives me a second thought that maybe I can also try if I want to. Just a matter of choice😁😌.
