I have met different kinds of people on my journey in life, most of which I am grateful for. I can say that all the people in my life right now have been a blessing to me in different ways. One thing I am forever grateful for is the fact that everyone I ever met impacted my life positively.
The people I met in my life's journey made it so easy and memorable. Right from my school days to this point in my life, it has been amazing. I wish I could narrate how everyone I ever came across made life worth living for me.
But then amongst all these people, one stood out. I could say that meeting him was destined by God. Most times I wonder how life would have been with me if I never met him. I am not sure I would have been where I am today if not for him. If not for this same person, I wouldn't have been on the Hive blockchain talk more of writing this prompt. Everyday, I thank God for bringing him my way, and for making our path cross.
How it all started
I was in my second year in a higher institution when it all started. One fateful evening after lectures, I stood on the balcony with my coursemates waiting to submit our assignment when a lazy handed me an invitation card for a program happening the next day. On the flier, it was written "ZOE CONFERENCE". I had plans for tomorrow but since she pleaded with me not to miss it, I promised her that I was going to make it.
But wait a minute what does "ZOE" mean I asked. "It's the God kind of life" she replied while extending the flier to my other colleagues. Ok, this sounds interesting I said to myself I can't wait to hear everything they have to say at that conference. I got prepared the next day and went for it and that was when a new me evolved.
It was there I met my now spiritual father (Prophet Simon Thomas) who revealed my true self to me (That is by revealing Jesus to me). He changed my perspective on life and that has redefined everything about me. His teachings and counsel gave more meaning to my life and I understood better why I am existing. He made me believe more in myself and revealed my hidden talents. He showed me purpose and guided me towards achieving it. I was so lost in life, my whole existence seemed like a mystery. I lived every day not knowing what tomorrow holds but that is not my testimony anymore.
I have always been this girl who loves to go to church, worship God and do what is right little did I know that there was more to it. One amazing about him was how he was able to open my mind on not just dwelling on what people say about Jesus but getting to know him for yourself. He would always say, "Have a personal walk with the holy spirit, He alone can guide you into all truth."
Trusting every word that has ever come out of his mouth has been my testimony. I no longer dwell on what people tell me about my Creator I have come to know him for myself and this is the best thing that has happened to me so far.
Life is even more beautiful and peaceful for me. If you know you know.
